Californias lack of Hip Hop in Clubs unappreciation post

This post is coming off from the Kid Capri post; you see these DJs out in the East representing their music to the fullest but down here (even some clubs in Vegas) they play whatever is hot (Techno/Dance/Alternative. some hip hop) I get tired of going to clubs and not hearing good hip hop music, i swear if anyone knows of any good straight Hip Hop club in So Cal post it on here because there is a huge lack of it down here

It seems that the West Coast aint got no love for Hip Hop music now in days. They play a couple joints here and there then they be mixing that %%@* with Techno/Dance beats

(ex; Kid Cudis stuff)

The hell is all that about, i want them to be playing some Dipset, Pac, Biggie, South %%$..whatever it might be PUT ON SOME HIP HOP DJs.. not just a couple of songs but a full set of getting  a good vibe going on

Your going to the wrong clubs my man. Up here in San Francisco there are PLENTY of strictly hip-hop clubs/lounges.

music they play at most clubs out here is straight trash.

i get frisked down by some bouncer,  pay od cover fees, and drink watered down drinks at some of these establishments.  can i at least get thanked by getting some decent music to listen to

its more of a LA/ socal thing. Most clubs in the bay dont play techno, but nowadays whenever i go to a party/club down here in santa barbara everything is techno

like a few songs are cool, but still...

I think you're just going to the wrong place. People go to clubs primarily to dance and drink their problems away.

Bars > Clubs.

i dont have a problem with electronic music, but i hate it when thats ALL they play at a party or at a club. not hearing a voice on a track gets boring

if you're going to a top40 type club expecting to hear hip hop, then you've already played yourself. off the top, i could probably name 5 bars/lounges that will spin the type of stuff i want to hear in SF, which is why i go to them.

i love clubs, i prefer pop music or hip-hop more than the really fast euro pump your fist stuff.

went out to cali and couldn't find anything that felt right or nice.

it's because pretty much all of the new hip-hop/rap music nowadays are pure trash, at least that's part of the reason

!@#$ a club. Lounges and Dive bars FTW.

Down here in San Diego, I avoid all clubs if possible.

But it seems like lounges these days are bullying DJs to play what they want rather than the DJs. One of my homies was spinning at a joint and the owners told them to chill on the funk and hip hop and asked to play that electronica and rock stuff to attract a different crowd. He quit spinning there.

Stopped going to that joint. Also, I don't like hitting up joints that attract Hipster-Hop peeps either.

 Sall about the hip-hop, homie. I don't play that house +!$+ at any of our parties. Chicks get loose to hip hop, especially the club bangers. And OP, you can find strictly hip hop clubs all over the bay area, like City nights aka %***#$ nights. They're just whack because of the typical crowd they attract though, no offense to you.

any club that is "big" or has some type of recognition is going to play techno/top40.

there are definitely clubs that play strictly hip hop but you have to sacrifice the type of environment you want to be in.

Clubs is SoCal def. dont play hip hop like that.

Besides 50, BIG, Pac, Snoop, DRE, Lil Wayne and whoever else has a hit out dont expect too much of anything else.

They play BIG and Pac outta respect and everyone loves em.

if you wanna listen to hip hop you go to a show not a dance club.

West Coast plays straight trash music in the club, *%@@ is disgusting. Broads be going HAM in there. I seen a chick faint from dancing so hard to that porno music, or maybe it was the combo of the Coke, liquior and X.
