I accepted a job in Marietta and I'm goin up to Atlanta this weekend to look at places to live.

Anyone from ATL have any suggestions for condos or what areas I should be looking at?

I've been looking at Buckhead condos and also this place called Horizon at Wildwood outside the city. Any help is appreciated.

My parents have a couple condos..... but they are in Clayton County......FTL

$160g or less....gonna negotiate down a little bit from there. Only good thing about this economy is gettin a nice price on a home.

There's midtown, Atlantic Station, and there are some by the Ga. dome near Mechanicsville. Depends on what you're trying to spend. I know grizz has aplace in atlantic station.

IMO, you can find great spots that arent in the "popular" areas. Like, come live in Decatur, you'll end up saving some money, and wherever youlive in Atlanta metro, chances are you are within 25 mins of everything

Not to steal your thread or anything, OP, but I've been curious about the pricing of living in ATL lately.

On average, what's rent lookin' like for a 2 BR/1 Bath or a 2BR/2 Bath in a decent area close to or around the city?

I've been hearing so much about how ATL is cheap for big city living.

I can't afford a place like ATLofts in atlantic station. They looked real tight though.

Have you seen or heard of this Horizon at Wildwood place? It's just outside the city it looks like. It's at Powers Ferry and Windy Hill Rd.

You can find a 2 br apartment for around $700-$800 in Clayton County or South Fulton County.

But ATL's city life isn't the same as say NY's city life. Keep that in mind.

no sir im sorry im not familiar with that area.
thats more of the white side of town if u catch my drift

and to the other guy, Atlanta isnt really big city living IMO....I've lived in Chicago and Los Angeles...maybe its because I grew up here...but Atlanta isdefinately not big city living....maybe compared to Alabama and the rest of Georgia, but Atlanta just has a different vibe.

That's where I'm focused on living.

Lookin at Ovation, Eclipse, Realm, The Concorde, Buckhead Grand...I think Paces 325 is out of price range.

You familiar with any of those buildings?
