hey guys I ordered a pair of flight ones the other day for customizing and had a few rookie questions. Firstly does this beginners kit come with everything or will I need more. Im guessing ill need to cop an exacto knife and some tape so the job is done properly. Also with mixing colors I need to know how that's done but ill wait til my sneakers and paint come in before that.

My main gripes are that I want to have a proper paintbrush (to limit mistakes, im just making a colorway, no specific designs, but still u never know) and get the color that I want specifically (lets say I want the south beach teal (just an example), id like to get it correct and not end up with a light green). Any advice would be appreciated (I felt like I created a thread similar to this before :lol :{ ).

Luckily for us new "customizers" Angelus makes paint colors such as south beach and tiffany and etc. Not sure whats included in the kit but you will need a finish. I happen to use the Krylon matte finish and clear finish. Also, mistakes will happen but just learn from them.

Good luck!

My shoes actually came in earlier than expected so got to buy the paint soon if I want to get started on my project. I'll create a seperate thread when the time comes

this is the pair I plan to do my work on

I originally planned to make it a white base with a touch of pink on the nike swoosh and the pods, but decided on a black base since it will be difficult to change the black to white (im a rookie, don't want to swing for the fences on my second try). Im going to place an order for the starter kit really soon and once it comes in ill get started. I have acetone but will use the leather prepper so I do not ruin the quality of the material on the sneaker. I might have some issues when painting the midsole and pods (also the one on the back) but ill address those once the time comes. Ill create a new thread once I start/finish the project to show ya'll my progress and if I did any good or not.

just placed the order on the website. With shipping it came out to $50! :lol I better do a good job on this creation. :D
I need to cop an x acto knife soon for this project. Its almost ago

thanks, the results probably wont be good though :lol

my kit came in, im ready to begin. quick question, lets say I want to paint the white part black and keep the black black, do I color both, or just the white portion

Personally I would just paint the white part first, just to see if the black paint is a different tone to the black on the shoe. If they're the same then you can save yourself a lot of work and paint.
