And here.....we.....go.
Dude took something I said completely out of context and made it something it wasn’t because he doesn’t like me

And here.....we.....go.
If you don't think that, then you think there are issues you clearly think this "find common ground" shouldn't apply. The thing is, other people have differing views of what they think is not worth compromising on. People always want to make compromises on things they don't care strongly about, and are more than willing to tell other groups about finding common ground.Nope I don’t think that at all. I think we should hold racist white people accountable, and there are also racists people from every color and background. but I literally said nothing about it. You’re just looking to argue like you always do.
And of course you don’t care about finding common ground with people, instead you jump to extremes of a topic I didn’t even mention of finding common ground with.
Never change Rusty , never change.

That it is why it is so easy for white men to throw out such rhetoric. It is like not thought is even why polarization around issues is happening.
I used that example because racist white people are not extreme in society, it is the status quo, it is commonplace, it is a reality every non-white person has to deal with. Especially black people. So I wanted to know if your logic applies on here, in a non-extreme case.
You can try both sides of racism, but only white people have the institutional power to oppress other groups.
All this other **** is the usual fragile pathetic winning from you whenever someone dares challenge your worldview. That on a discussion board, you can't handle negative feedback to your views
Seemed like you liked it more when I was on vaca and you can throw jabs without being called out.
So please, grow up, and spare me
Guys we have to be able to talk to each other, have the conversation, don't just write people off.
Rusty asks 1 yes or no question...

Thread is giving me a headache. First it's if you don't like them, just don't engage and pay them any mind. Now if you don't engage and pay them any mind you "cancelled" them.
The thing is it wasn't about race nor was it about you but for some reason you got deep in your feelings and made it that. It was about the "common ground" aspect of the prior conversation. All you had to do was say yes or no, let him make his point and go from there. The fact you got so defensive out of nowhere raises red flags. And eye find it funny how this thread has BARELY been about race, but Rusty can’t wait to make it about race.

The thread is about Tate though no?
I can forgive a child for having their mind poisoned with racismI’m gonna reverse your question on you.
If a child is raised by racist white people, and raised with racist ideologies, and they are given the mindset to write off everyone who doesn’t look like them or think like them, instead of learning to communicate with those who are different from them…. And idk, maybe learning that the racist ways they taught were wrong? How are people as a whole ever gonna move forward?
Because if we don’t try to correct these views or educate those who are been wrongly raised/taught/etc, how are we ever supposed to advance as a society?
It’s not a child’s fault for how they are raised, but with proper discourse, conversation, and communication, wrong ways of thinking can be changed with some people.
Oh look, the white guy hates it when a black person brings up racismAnd eye find it funny how this thread has BARELY been about race, but Rusty can’t wait to make it about race.

Yea I scrolled around & Seen all the tell all signs of the left wing Twitter grifter, these dudes are essentially the opposite ends of the Tates/Fresh & fits of the world.
I can forgive a child for having their mind poisoned with racism
I think that even racist white people should be given leeway to redeem themselves
But look at this example, you had to make the racist a child for them to be a sympathetic character.
But they become adults eventually, and they have the responsibility to educate themselves.
Being black in America means you have to be accommodating of racist white people's views even though you don't want to, all the damn time. Black people constantly try to talk people off the ledge, for everyone's good. Teachers across the country try to teach these kids better in a kind and considerate way. Hell, I never yelled at my college students for the ****ery they told me.
But It shouldn't be the responsibility of black people to disabuse a racist or their racism
So yeah, I fully understand a black person being completely done with what is essentially having to coddle white people. It is frustrating beyond belief.

"This Thread is in shambles."
How am I whining
This is starting more and more to come off as some kind of power trip to me.
And yeah Rusty, I have said many times on here that there are institutions put into place that absolutely hurt people and keep people down who aren’t white, and those same institutions benefit white people. I’m literally agreeing with you and have said that many many times.
But I’m not talking about finding common ground with the people who are running these institutions and keeping systems in place that disproportionately affect blacks and other minorities as well. I never said that. But maybe your neighbor who had a Trump sign during the 2020 election was focused on other media propoganda that made him fear Biden for reasons outside of race. Maybe if they were properly educated and realized they were wrong, they may have not voted Trump. And yes Donald Trump is a racist.
I knew someone that was voting Trump because they were convinced they would be taxed more under Biden , they were eventually educated on how they were wrong and voted for Biden.
If we automatically write everyone off who disagrees with us on a surface level without being able to educate and have conversations, we will never make progress on anything.
