Air Force 1 medallion change?

Hey I saw a pair of black low tops today with only AF1 on the medallion.. no '82.. would this be a fake or is this a new change? The box said AF1 '07 and they looked pretty legit besides the missing '82 on the metal part.

I just bought white AF1 '07 from Caliroots(authorized Nike retailer) and they also had only "AF-1" on the medallion. I contacted Nike and they told they must be authentic since they were bought from authorized retailer, "Could be possible that is some edition that does not have the "82" on the label as the style number is always the same also if the collection changed. What I can suggest to you is contact Nike Finland for more information, your local Nike distributor for assistance..." Also otherwise seemed legit.

I wouldn't worry to much about the emblem. I have plenty of legit AF-1 with diverse emblems.
