The 1:40 mark of this video speculates the Space Jam XI could possibly return during Holiday 2026, which sounds about right given that XIs have been traditionally released every December for years now. The video speculates the potential return is supposed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Space Jam movie. It speculates the number 23 could be on this possible version. The price is estimated to be $235. But it could be higher if it comes with extras, i.e packaging.

There's speculation this XI could return since the inaccurately dubbed Jordan IX with the same name is returning in 2026.

Are y'all looking forward to this possible retro?

You Know bro had lock down a legendary drop like this 😂 even if a rumor
Its almost an obsession to be the one to make the threads. While at the same time, tells us what threads we should specifically post in on numerous occasions. I dont think anyone will do anything about it simply because of how OVERactive he is with transferring others content and putting it in here. This thread should be an easy lock.

I believe this re-release is going to happen based on Sneaker Files being the source since it's reputable and we all refer to it for information. A majority of the retros it mentions normally ends up coming out based on history.

I believe the video states that this potential version will be the 2000 & 2009 versions with the blue Jumpman and number 23 on them. I think that would make sense since the last Space Jam version in 2016 had the purple Jumpman and number 45 on it.

Whenever this version comes out, would y'all prefer it to be the 2000/2009 versions with the blue Jumpman and the number 23? Or would y'all prefer the 2016 version with the purple Jumpman with the number 45?

I’m in, but good lord time flies. 10 years already?

Even if they don’t drop in ‘26, and it’s a possibility for ‘27, ‘28, ‘29, or even ‘30…. You got the jump, and already have the thread started.

Should just start threads for every retro, based on speculation; whether it be yours or someone else’s. Maybe we can rename this whole site to therealesttalk.

In all fairness, the official __ thread should take take of everything

With news of this leaking yesterday, it makes me feel these are returning based on coinciding variables. Like the misidentified IXs of the same Space Jam name are officially returning next year. 2026 will make it 30 years since the movie came out. Next year will make it 10 years since the last Space Jam version came out.

I believe these will be the version with the blue Jumpman and number 23 because I doubt they will rehash the 2016 version with the purple Jumpman and number 45 after 10 years. I think it would make more sense for the version with the blue Jumpman and number 23 since it last came out in 2009. It would make more sense to rehash the 2000/2009 versions with a 17 year gap instead of the 2016 version with a 10 year gap.

The 2000 and 2009 versions were inaccurate with the color of the jumpman. The actual sample version for the movie version had a stitched 23 and concord jumpman.

Thanks a lot for providing all those references!

I admit the 2000 version with the blue Jumpman and number 23 is seared in my mind regarding the Space Jam XI gimmick because it was the first version available for retail.

I really liked the 2016 version because of the updated shape of the XI from 2016 to present. I also liked the uniqueness of that version because it correlated with the pair Jordan wore during the 1995 NBA Playoffs with the purple Jumpman and number 45 stitched on the back. It basically took 21 years for fans to be able to get a version he wore with that release.

Although I'm leaning toward the 2000/2009 versions being rehashed with this potential return, it would be unique if they were to release that movie sample version you referenced instead because a purple Jumpman and number 23 stitched on the back would certainly be divergent from the three previous versions of the Space Jam that came out.

If the potential 2026 version ends up as the version with the blue Jumpman and number 23 in the 2016 to present shape, would y'all prefer it over the shape of the 2000 version? Or would y'all prefer the original 2000 shape of the initial release of the Space Jam?

The 2009 version isn't even worth mentioning or comparing because that version is justifiably disliked due to its shape. That version will always look like a bootleg.
