Jaws has Eli at #11 on his QB rankings. Whatever, man.

More than half the league has trash QBs and average QBs. I don't see a problem with him at 11.

I know you don't.

Eli will have an above average year and be proclaimed a top 5 QB/elite QB once again by most. bank on it

I'm saying. Ain't like he put him in the top 5. The dudes that he's ahead of really haven't done that much.

I already know Russell Wilson will be too high.

Eli was one of the worst last year. He based that ranking off of two rings being on Eli's hand.

So?

You can't go by one year. You gotta look at the body of work and based on that he put him at #11.

Says who? Does it matter today, what the Giants and Eli was apart of in 2007? You know how many new QB's have come in to the league since then?...Since '11 for that matter... What have you done for me lately Eli?

Well, homerific seems to think that he's still half better than the entire leagues Q's. Wrong. Eli threw the most interceptions in the NFL last year. Not only that, but he did so by throwing 5 more than the next person. He was also ranked 32nd in completion percentage of all quarterbacks eligible for the stat (only 37). Now...I don't know what your criteria is, nor do I really care, but no top 15 quarterback for me ranks last or below 30 in any of those categories. Quit fooling ya'll selves into thinking Eli is great. He's not.

Eli had one great year and two great playoff runs resulting in 2 sb victories. Overall in his career he's been above average at best that's it.

Carry on...

Who said that he was great though? He's had a nice career. The QB's that he's ahead of are either dudes who have been in the league for years and haven't done **** or young dudes who are still learning. You love you some Romo so don't act you got some high standard for QB's.

Eli is better than what his INTs tell you. Last season was anomaly as far as TD/INT, he's always put up decent numbers. He was the sacked most in his career last year as well. If given time, he can make the passes.

LOL. 2nd time leading the league in INTs.

Only Giants fans still believe Eli is a Top 15 QB....

Romo has not had the talent around him of a true contender. Depth has always been a real problem.

He's had enough talent to win more than one playoff game. C'mon man. :lol

Yall are running out of excuses for that man. He's talented, he can put up some real good numbers but it's that time we know what he does.

How about we start mentioning the better 2 quarterbacks in that division :lol

Romo ain't done nothing cept put up empty stats ... Dudes sit here defending romo ....

Pretty much :lol.

With the whole Romo/Eli thing, it's like, do you want someone who can play well until an important game (ie Week 17) comes up, or do you want the QB who is susceptible to being a train wreck during the regular year, but can catch fire in the playoffs?

I'll pass on either of those choices...lol

With no receivers, a shaky OLine and no running game to speak of? Do work? Yeah Im gonna go with probably not.

I respect the opinion; it's def. one of the more popular ones going into the season. But let's delve a little further...

No Receivers: Yes, we lost our top four WRs from last year: Smitty, LaFell, Ginn, && Hixon...don't know who let word out that we lost the Greatest Show on Turf's wideouts lol. One guy's average (if not underwhelming), one JUST got his career off life support last year, one's now retired, && the "#1" of the group even didn't crack 70 yards receiving in a single reg. season game last year...not one. Contrary to worldwide belief, we're not losing '05 Smitty here...&& as a whole, I like our pass catching unit this year more than the '13 bunch. Especially when you factor in the 2 TE sets returning (with which Cam flourished during his record setting rookie yr), && the fact that our leading receiver last year was a TE (Olsen)...&& he didn't leave.

O-Line: I'm with you this one...O-Line, particularly the LT spot is THE biggest concern for us this year. Gross will certainly be missed at LT, && Byron Bell isn't my first (or second) choice at RT, but overall, it's a young, healthy group with room to grow. Remember, we lost both of our starting guards last year to season-ending injuries, even had a D-Lineman switch sides && re-learn how to play O-Line in the midst of the season last year (Nate Chandler, likely to be our LT this year), && still just missed being in the top 10 in team rushing yds last year. Still have Kalil holding us down at center, so, while LT is a question mark at the moment, the rest of the line appears good to go.

Backs: Wait...no running game to speak of? :lol :lol :lol Must also be 21 other teams with no running game to speak of, since we were 11th on the ground last year with apparently nobody. But seriously, I'm not saying that we'll have a single 1000 yd rusher (odds are we won't), but with Williams, a healthy J. Stewart, plus Tolbert...three guys who, when healthy, have && still can carry the mail for us if need be...do we really need one? No. And that's before Cam even comes into the equation as a ballcarrier. We were 5th in TofP this past season...&& the agenda on offense hasn't changed. Now with our full stable of backs healthy, this area is a clear #2 on the 'Biggest Strengths/Least of My Concerns' list, next to the defense, of course.

I think, given the above, this is why we will see an even better version of Cam's 2013 season this year. I sure hope so...7 weeks til we find out, one way or another...:hat

If you took away Cam's rushing yards (and all QBs for that matter).....your 11th ranked running game would be right around 25th in the NFL.

Aside from the top tier QBs(Peyton, Rodgers, Brady, Brees)

I'll take my boy stafford . I'm a little biased though. Staff won me my fantasy league couple years back. That and I've been a lions fan my whole life. Lol

And cam newton is legit. :smokin

Valid point, but I think that's where having a healthy OL, particularly at the guard spots, will make a difference this year. The reserves played admirably, but weren't generating many holes as the year progressed, && it really showed in the playoff game. With guys like Silatolu returning to the interior, along with rookie Trai Turner coming in at RG, I think that'll help our push up front considerably. We'll def. need it if we wanna be playing in January again, that's for sure.

Matt Staff at 5? Whoa

And he lost me many FF leagues with some real disappointing games :lol

He hasn't been the same player. This no run game is killing him and CJ81.
