thought i'd start up an official saucony originals / retro thread, since i didn't see one.
anyways, just wanted to give everyone the heads up that the sneaker freaker x saucony grid 9000 "the bushwhackers" just went on sale 1 week early (online only) directly on sneaker freaker's website / online shop:
http://sneakerfreaker.bigcartel.com/product/sneaker-freaker-x-saucony-bushwhackers

the price is $150, but if you live in the u.s., the shipping was a whoppin' $50.  and with the australian currency exchange rates, total price came out to $209.20 usd, which is kinda pricey, but i just had to have them!  i'll just tell myself that it's the money that i still had in-hand due to the air yeezy 2 and lebron south beaches coppin' fails...haha.

here's another link to their website that has more pictures of the shoes:

not sure what retail shops here in the u.s. (if any) may be carrying these when the retail release date of june 29th comes around...but if you're more patient that i, maybe you can cop them for a lil' bit cheaper at b&m retailer.

is there anyone else who will be pickin' these up, or other saucony originals / retro kicks you mess with?

Defintely want em....not sure who in the US is getting them tho....heard packer is...but cant confirm that is true

They're tight, but I've got my eyes on another pair at the time.
I'd def cop nonetheless.

I've been down with Saucony Elite for about 2 years now. They've been putting out some of the best releases ever. While I've never looked down on them as some people in the community might, having Bodega curate the Elite line was definitely a good thing to give them some exposure. Since the first few waves of those releases they've been working with a ton of people.

My biggest fear is that it'll really catch on with other people and the ease in which I get a 300 pair release months after they originally came out will vanish and the company ends up becoming like Asics with the GL series, EVERYONE suddenly wants every pair and stuff that couldn't sell at all before is now going for 3-400 on ebay.

Right I feel what you saying Mints...hopefully these stay.....under the radar...even tho when I wear mine out and about folks...be saying that cant believe Saucony's came like that

These are

, too bad no 13

How do these fit in comparison to Nike/New Balance? I usually wear a 9 in nikes/jordans and a 8.5 in NB. Any help would be appreciated.

The Grid has a bit of give, I'd say it's more like a NB than a pair of Nikes, so you'd probably be best ordering what you wear in those.

i would guess packer would get them. those interested may also want to check ubiq and bodega. they also stock saucony and frequently receive collabs.

hey jasroberts21, i wasn't home today when dhl tried to deliver (you know, with work and all), so i can't tell you 100% for sure if these particular sneaker freaker x saucony grid 9000 kicks are tts or not...but based on 2 other pairs of saucony grid 9000 i got, they are my true 8.5 size.  i wear 8.5 in other modern saucony's (kinvara 2 and 3's) and 8.5 in modern new balances (minimus mr10 and mt110).  hope that helps.  i'll try to put up some photos and give everyone my initial opinions on the sf x saucony grid 9000 collabs hopefully by the weekend.

bit the bullet and bought them for $145. I really wanted to to pay around $110 and buy from the US but i cant judge how hyped these are . I did not want to miss out on the release today..

alright...i'm finding it extremely difficult to display these photos directly from yuku (photos don't seem to upload properly), but here's the direct link from my photobucket...
sneaker freaker x saucony grid 9000 "the bushwhackers" photos

i find these a lot more comfortable than my packer shoes x saucony grid 9000's...probably due to the "spandex-like" material in the tongue (think nike air diamond turf ii's).

if you're a fan of retro saucony's...this is definitely worth it!

anyone else get these in yet?  what are your thoughts?  any questions?

hey downyboy, were you able to cop a pair from packer?  they seem to be out of stock already.  i gotta say, i'm a bit jealous of the folks that were able to successfully pick them up from us-based shops for $110 or $120.  but i'm definitely glad i got mine, even if i did pay roughly $210 shipped directly from sneaker freaker in australia...

For OP

Saucony has been pumping out some dope stuff for years.  Did a collab with solebox not to long ago but my size is lonnnnnng gone.

^^^ Do they come with other types of laces? While the ones in your pics don't look that bad, I'd like to see what they look like with flat laces.

They do look good though, I'm kinda kicking myself for not getting them. Anyone know where I can find a size 12 for a reasonable price?

hey gry60, they didn't come with another pair of laces.  i'll try my best to find and throw on some flat laces to take some new shots tomorrow (when the sun is out again) to show you what that'd look like.  no idea how trethousandgt was able to throw up my pictures up for me though (maybe someone can school me on how to do that).  but regardless, i'll toss the new photos into my photobucket album tomorrow sometime.
personally though, i really like the current laces, because there's a lot of "give" to them.  they're like nylon bungee cord material.  i literally just slipped my foot into the shoe and it sort of adjusted by itself (not like marty mcfly's self-lacing mags or anything like that...haha).  but yeah, very minimal adjusting to these laces are needed (if any), the shoes are super comfy straight off the bat (doesn't feel like they need to be broken in or anything).  oh yeah, and they fit true to size (for my 8.5 at least).

Picked up a size 12 since there doesn't seem to be a size 13 in existence anywhere...

I like these THAT much.

im passing, but for those still looking to grab a pair, premier is selling them saturday morning online and in their shop.

The funny thing is they're probably going to fit. Sauconys tend to run large.
@higuy

thanks for the info. I hope the big sizes don't go too fast.

Yeah I did. They had fsr when I checked. I randomly saw them post it on twitter, ordered my pair then posted it on here. Hope some of you guys were able to get them.

You wont find a size 13 in any Saucony Elite product, they dont make a size 13. Everything is pre-packed from size 8-12. If anyone needs a size 8, 9 or 9.5 hit me up. That is all we have left.
