The IC belt is as prestigious as the world heavyweight or WWE title IMO. I’m saying he’s a star and deserves the recognition but you don’t just step in the ring with Ali because you think you can box.

Everyone would have a fit if he went straight for Gunther or Cody. Putting him right smack in the middle of contention for the IC and develop a long feud with Bron would make more sense and it gives the WWE crowd time to familiarize themselves with Omega. That’s the levels that WWE has over AEW, knowing how to build a star not just take a big name and give them belts or shove them down our throats. Omega burns bright but dropping him right in the middle of world title opportunity just to watch him burn out like a shooting star would be a waste of his talent and a disservice to the fans.

You could make the case he’s got history with Cody and to an extent Finn so feuding with them would make some sense. However i think him and Bron are legit yin and yang so having them feud would lead to many great matches which then would lead a proper path to a world title.

But that’s just my$0.02. I respect Omega for what he’s done and his ability but I’d rather see him build a great audience and new fan base then just be another big name given the spotlight. Not that it’s not deserved but doing it right > doing it easy.

Some people just truly need that protection from themselves inside the WWE system. Fighting spirit and strong style ain’t for her, and that’s okay. Just got back to Hunter already and stop wasting our time playing wrestler.
