Austin Rivers wouldnt help nyk at the backup pg position at least?
I rather stay with JG and LG for backup. Austin is lateral at best IMO

the Knicks need basically everything except a starting frontcourt
agree but neither of those two dudes are going to make any impact or improvement .

BTW I rather have Bayless than either.

Bayless does nothing better than rivers in 2016.

I can understand why you would want to stay with JG or langston though if you are in pursuit of Austin. That makes sense. I just feel like Austin is better on both ends of the floor than those guys and would produce at a more consistent clip than those guys.

I hope Derrick Williams opts in at $5M but i doubt that happens. Brought great energy off the bench last season & was one of the few guys that pushed the pace & got to the line.

Also want us to bring back Lance Thomas at somewhere between $5-7M/year. Really liked what i saw from him last season before he got hurt. Solid 3 & D guy that we need.

I'm indifferent on Galloway. Shows flashes at times but unless he becomes a 38%+ 3pt shooter he could easily be replaced.

Hopefully Willy Hernangomez could lock down the backup big role cause KOQ & Seraphin were not good at all.

We're not that far off from the playoffs but we definitely need some work. Replacing Fisher/Rambis with Hornacek automatically gives us at least 6 more wins.

Bayless is washed, you tripping.
that's how little faith I have on Austin and Tyler.

Is this the annual Knicks fans think everybody is coming to NYC party about to get started?

Send one to Phoenix for a guard and move on with life. Banking on embiid will be a mistake though.

I don't think they are really banking on him. If they were to trade both and go with embiid as the only center I could see that, but they are leaving 2 centers and will have 2 PFS after they draft simmons.

That and I am sure the market for a guy who hasn't played and NBA game in 2 years due to recurring foot problems is next to nothing.

Noel just fits better with Simmons..like I mentioned before them two running the fast break could be lethal..but I will say this tho..as much as we harp on Jahlil defense..When I watch Noel he seem to struggle against centers...He can't really guard big centers in this league...but I rather have knight and Noel than..Teague and Oakafor.

Man the way you talk about Austin had me thinking his numbers last year were for real. Bayless has a career 3pt% higher than Rivers' career high. He shot 10% better from 3 last year.

Can't use a small sample size to assume this guy is gonna keep shooting above average from 3.

At the very minimum, he looks like a quality backup though. Knicks would probably have to roll him out as a starter - which probably wouldn't be good.

We better not bring in Austin ****** Rivers. He's a ****** bum. Knicks will be trash until the day I die.

I honestly don't think Sixers are trying to drive up Noel asking price by saying they'd rather trade Jahlil Okafor. I think they are just accepting the landscape. Okafor is the toughest guy to fit into the Sixers roster, and he has the most trade value.

Noel is much better defensively than Okafor by light years. You can't get too far with a guy like Okafor anymore unless you surround him with a ton of defensive studs all over the court. Noel doesn't fit with Jah because he's not a 4. He's a slightly undersized 5, but can play his *** off to make up for it.

With Jahlil, you know that Celtics at 3 could be a team that bites. 3 + Whatever it takes to make it work out (Picks or the choice between Bradley & Smart) for Jahlil Okafor & TJ McConnell.

You take Simmons at 1. Dunn at 3. Then go out and try to actually act like you can participate in Free Agency

Great minds, said all this in the draft thread.

Kid really showed me a lot this past season, boosting a ridiculously talented class even higher.

Damn near every team that had a top 10 pick got an impact player from day 1.

Then there's guys like Turner, Booker, Portis, Lyles, Jokic, & Richardson that puts this rookie class over the top.

It's amazing man.

KAT, Kristaps, Jokic, Turner, Booker all show multiple All Star potential.

Then you got guys like Russell, Mudiay, Justise, Mario, Stanley, WCS and Lyles who if they all put it together have that potential too.

Norman Powell was a 2nd round pick who was a better option than DeRozan at a certain point for Toronto.

Richardson was leading the league in 3pt % the second half of the year.

Then you got Portis who showed flashes whenever he got a chance, Kaminsky who played well at the end of the regular season and Justin Anderson who was playing positive minutes in the playoffs for the Mavs.

Injuries have derailed the 2014 class but next year a lot of those guys will flourish.

Bari tore his ACL, Randle broke his leg, Exum tore his ACL, Embiid reconstructs his foot.

Wiggins/Gordon/Randle/Bari are all the goods.

Doug is starting to show signs, LaVine is closer to taking that next step, Smart is rounding into form.

Unfortunately, Stauskas and Vonleh are trash. :{

Honestly, if Embiid is healthy I think he will be so good that he, Wiggins and Jabari will carry the class anyway.
