I have the Grey/Yellow and the Navy/Tan ones...neither have marks on the suede...the Yellow gets fairly dirty where you would expect near the toe
Pretty easy to clean and always look sharp
Anyone know where to get the Nike Centenario socks anymore? In particular looking for the Royal/White and the White/Royal...why did they stop making these?
Marshalls in Huntington Beach, CA had a lot of Nike (mainly Diamond Elite and Swingman) and UA BTG's...only college ones were Oklahoma and Oregon State with Sooners and Beavers on the straps...custom BTG in White/Black with #4 on the strap and Black Leg Guards with a #12
Just received my Navy ones on Saturday...wearing them today and should get the Grey ones in today or tomorrow.
Definitely comfortable...usually wear a 12 in Nike and these Navy ones are 11.5 and feel great...Grey ones are an 11 so will see how they fit when they arrive.
Anyone looking to order...
My guess is they likely got caught up in a customs coming into the country from the factory...happens a lot this time of year with the number of shipments coming in as all of the factories close down for a few weeks to celebrate Chinese New Year.
Questions for the group...what would you...
just thought of one more thing that you guys may like...have no idea if this will come to fruition but the early talk for this coming years Jackie Robinson turf had them using the 2009 Air Max outsole.
DSG has an exclusive on most Swingman items as they do with Livestrong and ACG....I would expect to see stuff soon with Spring Training coming up.
There were some baseball pants, jackets, gloves, etc in the works during '10
They made them and showed them to DSG....there were plans for these as the high end version and then a cheaper version as well....will roll out with an entire exclusive Swingman collection that will likely include apparel and a bat bag....possible a low to mid price point bat as well as fielders...
To answer a few of the questions...
The licensing company was working on some stuff but I am guessing that it got scrapped due to low margins combined with low unit sales expectations...my guessthat would make the most sense since they have no "baseball" people in house is that the stuff gets...
Nike is not doing their catcher's gear anymore...it has been taken over by a licensing company who also holds the license for some other baseball/footballitems as well as some random accessories.
The stuff I am working on is not for Nike...(no longer with them)...doubt they will go forward with anything new as it is no longer done in-house and is nowdone by a company licensing the Nike name who has never done anything baseball before.
The stuff I am working on is for Boombah...
Likely wont see any of the Easton masks on ebay as I can probably tell you where they all are...not many (less than 200) of them in existance.
If everything goes according to plan you will see one that I am working on now for sale very soon...the mask is done...just finishing up the Chest...
Hope you arent looking too forward to it...they were not going in the right direction so I am no longer there...shoot me a private message on here and I willsee what we can do about the mask that I am working on.

Yes...it is considerably lighter...to the point where the first couple that we developed almost seemed "too light"...any former catcher woulddefinitely appreciate it. The part that makes it tough is that the cost at the time is very prohibitive to retail sales. Working on one now that you may...
