I'm just glad to see kanye wearing something normal. 99% of the %*@@ he wears is just plain wack! And to top it off he is totally annoying. He needs tojust go away!
In all of the articles and books that I have read on Jordan, he says that he never work Nike until he signed his contract as a rookie. Thatdude's a straight liar!! Haha!
That's what happens when a quality original photo is taken. The photographer probably had the perfect lighting when they took that pic. When pics arescanned correctly, very little quality is lost.
There were some good Nike basketball releases during this time. But I would hardly call a year and a half slump the near death of the Jordanline. They had a cold reception to the IX. And the X started out a little slow. But, then what happpened...................
Mike came back and everyone...
Is there any correlation to the quality of retro Air Jordans decreasing after MJ's retirement? He used to wear a lot of the then current retros duringgames. Is it possible that they kept the quality decent to hold up to the abuse he would put on his shoes during game play? Or is this just...
This pic kind of reminds me of the XV. Didn't Tinker design the tounge to be reminiscent of MJ hanging his tounne out during dunks and stuff? Maybe MJdevised this tounge flipping to emulate him during dunks! Haha. Who knows.
Here he is in Cleveland, playoff first round '89 shaven:
Here he is in NY, I don't know the time frame, but more than likely early in the '89-'90 season, with evidence of the receeding hair line:
That ain't the lighting. Haha
He started shaving his head in late '89 I believe. You vcan see a few pics where he would let it grow out on occasion. You can see a natural recession ofhis hair line in every year he was in the league if you look hard enough. he was also one of the first...
The only thing I could find was Nike being publicly traded. Are they under the Nike umbrella in this respect?
I agree in people changing their opinion on what they would like. Being in business operations, I would love to know what the manufacturing #'s are forJB. As a collector/Air Jordan...
Dude, he was a legend wayyyyyyyyy before '91! This was his prime. He could still get up like no other, although it didn't happen asoften as before. It was a statment move at this point. This was also when he realized that there were four other guy's on the court with him wearing thesame...
I'll tell ya, I was in 8th grade in in '89, and i never saw anyone fold the tounges down on IV's or V's. You would think you would seesomething like that in JR high and High school. But seeing the pic of Mike in the VI's folded down kind of makes it seem possible. Maybe it was just MJthat did...
Yeah. I'm not really sure that's him, though. I saved this pic like that a while back and just ran across it. How sweet would it have been to bethat kid interviewing Mike like that back is his prime?
Exactly. Take the Laser IV's or V's for iunstance. Really any of the LS releases. I would like to see how limited they are compared to a Fire RedIII or a White/Black IX for instance. Would that change the impression of these shoes? Who knows.
I might be wrong, but it would seem like this would be readily available info. Is JB publicly traded?
If they thought about it, they could use this as a cheesy marketing ploy. Showing how limited a certain realease is over other models could create someexclusivity. I am shocked they haven't...
