If someone rocks fakes and resells his real pairs, that's pretty much the definition of not being that into sneakers! The $ is more important than the love of the shoe/hobby.
I guess we're venturing into the pointless territory since I doubt anyone's mind will be changed. But it's fair to say...
You're oversimplifying the issue - sure the actual manufacturing is low value, but the creative process by Nike and KAWS draws on their intellectual property and trampling over that is what I mean about disrespect. This goes for any fake good.
And if you're wearing them, then that's...
There's plenty of coveted shoes I don't have because I won't spend crazy resell prices, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna disrespect the origin and creators of the shoe by buying knockoffs.
No shoe is a must have, missing out is inevitable here and there.
Did anyone ever have experience wearing these while flying? Traveling later this week and wanted to wear em but was unsure about how the TSA would deal with it.
The soles are usually the best test. The fakes are very clear, where as the real ones are more translucent than transparent.
Owl on box lid usually a big tell too, obv I don't rely on just the box but good to have multiple check points
Be vigilant and you could get lucky on whites. I got my pair for 475 last month via pp invoice, the guy had them listed for 500 BIN.
Just beware the fakes - I'd say about 75% of the listed pairs are fufu but the tells are obvious
