Whitney lip synced that National Anthem. Not saying she couldn't do it, but I think the fact that it was pre-recorded disqualifies it from mention in this discussion.
Hopefully, it would have been crazy.
Kanye wouldn't have responded ( I don't think he has a battle bone in his body). But I feel like Wayne would have had to respond. Eminem isn't Pusha/Gillie. He's a hip-hop legend, a lyrical behemoth, and one of the best-selling artists of all time, across...
I guess if we all just agreed to disagree, there'd be nothing to talk about. I think Dre's verse was the best part of the song. I don't think his verse was necessarily great, either.
Overall, the song is tight. But I can see myself forgetting I even heard it
I agree with OP about MJ being >> Kanye. Maybe 'Ye catches him, maybe he doesn't. And I'm still undecided as to whether Kanye is the voice of this generation.
But I have to ask: if you disagree so vehemently, why? I've heard a million arguments in support of this viewpoint, but not many against...
It has its share of bangers. Do You Wanna ride is one of my favorite rap songs, to this day. This was the introduction to Jay-Z's new life. I can get down with it.
Strangely enough, Beach Chair is my least favorite song from the album.
Maybe Dre just doesn't like Big's new stuff.
I saw a recent interview with Dre in which he said he likes what the newer guys are doing in rap. IMO, that stuff doesn't bear much of a resemblance to the stuff Big Boi's been putting out. As what some might call a "pure" artist, Dre has to be...
If I had just randomly heard these tracks, and no one gave me any information on them, the first thing I'd ask myself is, "Is this Tyler?"
I'm going with Tyler.
