A reseller who buys one or two pairs probably isn't a very good (or smart) reseller. So if they want theirs plus-one I can live with that.
And people who subscribe to the one-to-rock, one-to-stock philosophy are cool, too.
It's the 8-pair buyer that most take issue with.
When I copped the LeBron Home Elites at Nike store on Bloor on Saturday, they gave me a hard time about copping two (one for me, another for a homeboy) but eventually relented.
They said you could get two different colorways but not two of the same. I understand totally and agree – but...
What's up, NT Ontario...
An old man sneakerhead here who's (sadly) still in the game. Seen the demise of Goodfoot, Stolen Riches and Da Zone on my watch – but I'm still here.
Thank goodness for sites like Sneakerhead, Deadstockshoes and Pickyourshoes!
Thanks for letting us/me know, dude, but by the time I got to the Eaton Centre FL all pairs (20) were already pre-ordered and sold out.
Dude said that samey-same for Yorkdale. They were the only two HOHs in Toronto to get them, sadly. But maybe Nike Toronto will get 'em. No pre-order, though...
Yeah – I phoned and spoke to the FL Eaton Centre manager who said they WOULD be getting the Black/Gold along with the White/Gold, so that sorted me out.
Sucks when store employees don't know jack about the products coming in. I know they're not sneakerheads, but it wouldn't hurt to know what's...
FYI, Footlocker is taking pre-orders for the LeBron 9 PS Elites for April 28th – but it's only the white/gold colourway.
Dude @ the Eaton Centre said he's not even sure if they'll be GETTING the black/gold colourway. Which sucks pretty hard...
I know it's not exactly ideal, but when it comes to Nike ID, if you can make it to a U.S. Niketown, they'll usually give you an appointment on the spot (NYC, 21 Mercer Street, LA).
You can pay upfront – but you need a U.S. mailing address.
If you know you'll be in a U.S. city with a...
Sure the Galaxy Foams dropped here – but if you've got a jobby-job, chances are good you're not gonna camp out for them. I'd much prefer widespread availability – and failing that, easy online access. If it's camp-out only, I'll pass. But I would appreciate a pre-order...
As for the Canadian...
Good lookin' on the info. At least we know now that alternate plans will be required for coppage.
As for Home/Away PS Elites – is the release date gonna be the same here as in the U.S. – April 27th?
Which Canadian retailers are getting these bad boys? Anyone know? And will we be getting the McFly/South Beach colourway, too?
Any and all info is much appreciated!
Someone earlier mentioned that he got his local Cole Haan to order them for from NYC and then ship them, as these are only available in the NYC SoHo location.
I got my sister to buy them as she works in the area, then ship to me up in Toronto.
I don't normally rock this kind of joint, but since they're lunar and whatnot, I figured they'd be a good excuse to get my grown-man shoe on.
Glad I did – they're outstanding.
The sole (the lunarlon part) doesn't look as high or obtrusive in real life. In this navy colorway, it just looks...
My fave Jordans – and shoes – of all time. In Canada, FL does pre-orders – so if you pay months in advance, you can stroll in wheneves and grab yours.
These are better than the past Military Blues and Fire Reds (though leather is obvs not as nice as the Laser IVs)...
Comparisons to my crumbled...
As far as I know, it's only Footlockers that do pre-order – even though Champs is part of the same organization (they're all a part of EastBay).
While it's true that us Canuckleheads miss out on too many releases to count, at least we get to pre-orders kicks that tend to cause commotion (rilly...
Niagara Falls you could do in a day. Falls are nice; casinos if you're into gambling. But I don't think it's worth staying there, and it's only a couple hours away from Toronto.
Re: Toronto Eats
There's an older thread with some suggestions. I suggest peeping Toronto.com or blogto to get a...
