He won, but I think the judges scored it strangely, or didn't one judge even say Kampmann lost? I think that's what it was, but people on here are saying that one judge made a mistake.
So people are saying it's either a draw or Hendo won it. No one thinks Shogun won right? Because he seemed...
That Kampmann decision was pretty bad, unless it was a mistake.
I had Hendo winning the first three rounds and Shogun winning the last two, for people saying it was a draw, how'd you score the rounds?
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I didn't even bother to watch Fedor vs. Monson...
Kind of surprised to see Hendo/Shogun go all 5 rounds. I had Hendo winning the first three and Shogun the last two. A couple of times there where each guy looked like he was just hanging out to survive until the next round. Shogun had him when Hendo gassed, but Shogun looked tired too and...
That about sums it up shogun. I'm still a fan because of his personality, but he ain't finishing anyone that's for sure. Doesn't bother me though, because he's still clearly better than anyone he's faced so far and no one has been able to present a serious challenge. I understand the...
I don't know why Cerrone/Diaz is the co-main, I think Fitch/Hendricks should be. Then again, Fitch has that boring rep.
Anyway, Rumble could definitely take Belfort, I don't see Belfort as the clear favorite in that one. He probably doesn't want to keep it standing, but then again, if Vitor...
He's an awesome fighter, but man, he's gotta get his act together outside fighting. Doesn't know how to buy a house? Dana was absolutely right when he said Diaz has enough money to move. Diaz even said his brother moved, so why can't he? That's crazy dedication that he trains 24/7, but man...
I think the point is the KO by Serra was more of a fluke than anything else. The rematch was a more accurate representation of the skill set of each fighter.
It did show GSP doesn't have the greatest chin though. Edgar got rocked a bunch of times by Maynard and hung on to gut it out.
Still...
Every time he signs the fight contract and steps into the octagon he's taking that risk. It's up to the challengers to beat him and so far, nobody has been able to, or even come close.
The thing about Diaz is his style and pace. People seem afraid to go after GSP, but Diaz sure wouldn't...
Definitely agree. I think GSP could stand up with Diaz, but not like Penn did. Penn went stationery against the fence, and that's when he really started losing the fight. When he pushed forward and controlled the cage, he at least held his own.
GSP has more tools than Penn, and he wouldn't...
Penn's retirement was a bit of a stunner. Cro Cop talked about it a while ago. Hats off to both of them.
I thought Diaz was about to be the first to knock BJ out. BJ just didn't have any answers for Diaz. If this went 5 rounds it probably would have been stopped. He couldn't take Diaz down...
Maybe it's not where they're from, but just coming into the UFC is a different animal. It showed in people like Shields, Aldo, etc. in their first fights.
People are gonna say Roop was robbed. I was surprised by the decision, I thought the end of round 3 won Roop the fight. But I wouldn't...
Well, Sonnen was well on his way to winning but sub defense has always been a weakness of his. He was right in saying that people give him too much respect and don't go after him. His standup is average at best but he was tagging Anderson in that fight and moving forward. Watch the Okami...
No chance? Come on. He has a chance. Maybe not a good chance, but still.
Him being too cautious might serve him well. That's how Chael got submitted in the 5th, by not being cautious enough. GSP wouldn't try to strike with Silva, you'd have to be stupid or overconfident in your ability to...
Condit should wait it out, and it's not like he isn't deserving. Diaz might be more, but we all know what happened with that.
According to yardbarker, GSP injured his hamstring after trying to compensate for his sprained knee. So maybe it's more than a sprained knee. Also, I wouldn't want to...
Penn/Diaz should be 5 rounds. Aren't they changing main card fights to 5 rounds sometime this year?
Diaz highlights of UFC 137 conference call from http://www.heavy.com/mma/...Heavy.com+%C2%BB+MMA%29:
Why I like Nick Diaz: Diaz: I've just done my best to try not to focus on what's going...
I got:
Silva #1
GSP #2
#3 Edgar, Jones, Cruz
Dos Santos might be up there too, he's got an impressive HW resume.
Jones easily has the most potential, and he did beat top ranked LHW fighters, but he hasn't been around long enough to be higher than GSP and Silva. He's dominating, but he's...
WOW, Sonnen's sub was impressive. That arm triangle was awesome. Didn't see that one coming at all.
Hahaha, he cracked me up too. Rogan: blah blah blah? Sonnen's first two words: Anderson Silva... then "you absolutely suck"
Man he threw down a challenge though, leave the UFC forever...
Melendez should take a fight before getting a shot. Shields and now Diaz both did that. I think he's deserving and ready, but still.
I have it Guida, Henderson, Guillard. All have valid reasons for sure. Guillard finishes fights so maybe he should be moved up. Guida beat Pettis, who was...
