Aesthetically these are nicer than the 20s, especially the dark CWs. With that said they are not for me in terms of performance, in the same way as the 20s these are just way too heavy for a low cut shoe. I get the comfort and decent traction etc but the midsole just feels too bulky for a low...
Has anyone had an issue with the top eyelet digging into your ankle?
I was playing in mine yesterday and had to crank the laces tight for lockdown but the top lace eyelet on medial left side was diggin into my ankle. Tried adjusting the tongue but still felt discomfort.
prob not a good idea to play competitive ball in untested shoes IMO, better off getting a few reps in practice etc before breaking them out in games, especially if your used to hooping in most of lebrons recent shoes - this model is quite different.
Traction looks great on these, bit sceptical on the lockdown from a performance perspective but on looks they are nice. Bit of a hyperdunk shape to them.
Gone are the days NBA players wear lebron's the game has evolved and these are too bulky for most players, guys want to be light on their feet and have more court feel. There's no more tight ends in the NBA these days and it shows with so many wearing light low tops, even the 'bigs' are wearing...
Jumps looking like a hyper dunk shox fusion, the perforated outsole is interesting but I dunno about nike ball shoes recently the durability of the rubber on.the outsole has been very poor. My last pair of KDs barley lasted 6 weeks before the outsole wore flat.
Nice to see a return of zoom max, the lebron x elite are my fave lebron's to play in. Shame they didnt come in many cws.
These still go hard even against today's top performance shoes. The only downside is weight but that's always been a drawback with lebron shoes. The upper on the 19s look...
Has anyone tried the ON Cloudflow shoes? I see them heavily discounted are they any good? They make a big deal about being swiss engineered, they look a bit goofy like some ecent Reeboks IMO...
I'm coming out of retirement to cop the SB for my daughter she was just a kid when the OGs dropped but she still remembers the pink laces. I put them in her shoes cus I only rocked the black laces.
The south beach 9s just didn't have the same appeal and models after that were just trying too...
The OG v1s were hella snug. I wore mine for ball and they were very tight. Toe box was outta shape after a few pickup games. After a few weeks the whole upper had to be repainted, these used to fade hella badly even with occasional cleaning.
Be interested to know of any euro sites selling...
When are the G4 mids out? I see the HI is currently for sale but not feeling that heel height, the sole is too chunky on the lows the mids are the best of them, but needs a better CW.
These are solid, the toe protection is noticeable and a really nice feature with a textile upper. 1/2 size up worked best for me the strap helps with lockdown if they stretch out a bit.
It's not the most minimalist shoe compared to the pg3s these feel like tanks but I prefer the fire foot...
