I would say gambling has influenced my fandom more than anything else, but I have definately shifted my focus to more football and less basketball over the years.
I follow NCAA football closest, great matchups every week, the best rivalries, and guys are still playing for pride not $$$.Every...
This has easily been one of the best off-seasons in the NBA in a loooong time. Maybe it was just me but I found the regular season of NBA to be pretty boring this year. I like it when the teams get new players and there are power shifts in the league. Looking forward to seeing Kobe + Nash...
Just got off the phone with NTSF, got their last size 10 in the 180s! Very relieving feeling because I had called 5 other Niketown before and extrabutter and they were all out of size 10.
I think some of you guys are straight fools for thinking you know some of these guys personally because you played some pickup with them. Even if it was organized ball, you know how many dudes they have played against to this point?
Even if you were on their team at some point, would they...
I'm more upset with the Sullinger pick than Melo. Sullinger is undersized, lazy, and doesn't have a jumper.
Melo atleast is a legit 7 footer with some althleticism. Only thing that worries me is always playing a zone defense at Syracuse, however his help defense is probably above average...
Just got back from the mall, got there at 7:30 and Finish Line opened at 9:30...was the only one there right up until they opened, feel kind of foolish but atleast I got my pair. FNL employee said that the 7th will definately be a different story though.
we could do pretty well with our back-to-back picks in the draft, there are a number of players that could fall into our lap.
My ideal picks:
Terrence Jones
Fab Melo
Perry Jones III
Tyler Zeller
Quincy Miller
after that, yes we should try for Hibbert. If that fails dare I say we should try...
Anybody else think that Zeller might be the best big man besides A.Davis? I mean I was never completely impressed with Sullinger anyways and now he has red flags, Fab Melo played in a zone defense, and Drummond still seems very undeveloped in his offensive post game.
I don't really think there...
I just learned that the "do you still beat your wife" question is something that all journalists/media people know about and is just a rebuttle to a trap question.
In essence, if you say no then you are admitting that you beat her at some point.
That is why Stern said it, I thought he was...
Most of this food is grossing me out, I guess I'm not cultured enough.
I do love me some Spanish potato balls
and Pastelitos:
Aside from that I just dig mexican american/Tex Mex, Pizza, BBQ, Italian, American Chinese, and a Gyro on a rare occasion.
Not sure how much more out of bounds you can be than asking "do you still beat your wife?" ...wut? where does that even come from?
$tern got frazzled by Rome, and possibly the question.
Keep KG let Ray leave, we have Avery Bradley to step up and become our new SG
We need a big guy, Hibbert is definately the most ideal candidate. If we get Jeff Greene back and he's health and can contribute as a 6th man we definately are not in bad shape. Could use an athletic 2/3 who can run...
