Unfortunately, there's not really a way to stop or fix crumbling midsoles to the point of wearability again.
I think your only real option is to midsole swap with a retro pair of the 2014 Peace Raids. I wasn't aware there was a difference in retro vs OG midsoles.
That's what I did with mine. I also wanted the laces to contrast, but still match the midsole, so have the Light Bone laces in my OG Black -- and in my Oatmeals, as well.
Agreed. I went TTS on all my pairs (SA's included).
I also believe that the broken zippers and difficulty with putting on and taking off the shoes is mainly due to people sizing down.
I also heard that it was QC issues that cancelled the global release. Didn't specifically hear that it was the zipper, but maybe the overall quality complaints have been getting heard (glue stains, etc.)
Agreed on both of these points.
If this colorway was truly Question inspired, then he should have released them with WHITE MIDSOLES like they appeared to be in his filtered photos. The bluish Air unit would've been a similar (and dope) color pop to the Hexalite on the white midsoles of...
They fit the same. All the FOG 1's do, in my opinion. Some argue that the Bones run smaller, but I think they're just a little harder to put on/take off, since there's no mesh on the upper.
Agreed. This whole situation sounds sketch from their end. I'm betting that internally, someone or a friend of someone at GOAT 'bought' the shoes. SMH.
Sorry to hear all that. What a shi**y situation.
I'm sayin.' The first pic he posted showed them on a shoe rack with well worn Red Octobers, black FOG 1's, some beat Off-White 1's, OW Prestos, and other high dollar 'rotational shoes', so maybe that's just how he rolls... lol.
I was more referring to the authenticity. I see a few telltale signs that makes me curious. Cage angle, where the cage/suede/mesh intersect, cut height, etc...
For apparel tests, you're supposed to wash between wears, or as needed (if it's like a hoodie or jacket, etc). You're also expected to return them clean, so regardless of how hard you are on the gear, (within reason) your daily wear at work shouldn't be an issue and they'll actually probably...
To answer the first
To answer the first part of your response, the answer is yes; that it is FCFS. I almost always accept the invites immediately, but there was one occasion where I missed it in email and the test filled up before I accepted -- and only a few hours had lapsed between my...
I don' think there's a "time" for when to expect an invite. When is test is upcoming, they put out the invites and see who accepts.
I also don't think being a 5-Star apparel tester leads to testing shoes or vice-versa. Different categories are run by different test employees. Also, for shoes...
