I honestly don't care. I think I'm supposed to care,. but I just don't. I probably take music a little less seriously now than I used to, but I really just want to hear good songs, at this point. I don't care how they get made.
Related aside: I've always hated Mob Ties.

I'm of the opinion that it doesn't matter who I personally think had the better raps--more that in the court of public opinion, Kendrick won. For my taste in rap, Drake rapped better, but that matters less. I feel the same way about the Push beef and Push probably my favorite rapper. So I don't...
.Kendrick is a HIGHLY talented artist and nobody needs the Grammys to tell them that. You're implying that the Grammys always get it right, when it's quite obvious that they don't. I don't think their opinion is any more valid than yours tbh. So it can be a sign of a highly talented artist, but...
1. Kendrick wins a lot of Grammys--seemingly for everything he does.
2. Kendrick's aunt transitioned from a woman to a man. Kendrick raps about this on his last album.
3. Your back is against the curb is a short joke.
I think they both delivered. And much like their careers, Drake made the songs I would rather listen to and Kendrick made the songs that mean more.
I think Drake lost, but I don't think he lost in embarrassing fashion. He showed up and got busy--he just didn't win.
Feels like it’ll work in the context of an album, but no idea the rhyme or reason behind it releasing as a single.
I like it though—just feels like a close to closing track.
My point. Nothing was supposed to happen and that's why it's commonly thought he was good in it because it didn't actually require him doing anything. Perfect for him.
I'm not an actor, so I can't speak to how difficult it was--which it may have been--he may very well be skilled at acting...
Feels like Fruitvale didn't actually require a great performance, from an acting standpoint. He was young black male in Oakland. It's a movie where much doesn't actually happen, even emotionally. Which is kind of the point...he was just a regular black dude, living life, trying to make a way...
real. we haven’t had a run with that kinda energy since. i remember waking up to 56 nights like “what?! another one?!” he was a confirmed superstar after that tape. but i listened to MONSTER so much it was insane. special time.
funny because my favorite two projects (HNDRXX and THE WIZRD) are...
