Did any info come out on the sail/gum and black/gum Vaporwaffles? Seems like they dropped overseas… I thought they were on the calendar for this fall but that came and went
Just caught up on that rumor about the fusions and I’m not surprised they would try something like that. And honestly if the stick the 8-11s on other soles, it might work if they take a little care in stylizing the uppers.
Think of how they did the HTM lifestyle Flyknit versions of their...
It’s beyond negotiations on this one. The shoes are full on memorials to her dead husband and daughter so if I were her, I’d be pissed to see them out and about or even being previewed if I wasn’t expecting them to be over and done with. I’m not assuming she’s taking another angle unless she’s...
It would be bad news for me but the best way for Nike to release these shoes, at least in terms of what they did in the past, is a charity auction like the Mags. They would still end up being resold but at least Nike would maximize $ and attention for the foundation. Of course They could mass...
We sure these aren’t fakes or customs? If not then good scoop...
They put the foundation and Kobe and Gigi’s name like a memorial, they better be damn sure everyone can get them and not one cent goes to resellers
They did a SNKRS pass for Undefeated La Brea that was booked within a couple seconds... you can probably forget about them deciding to have made more of these.
I don’t get the impression they aren’t GRing the initial colorways specifically, but the overall statement almost sounds like they weren’t planning on GRing them at all until the positive response. Which is dumb because they were really doing the press rounds with these.
I would assume showing...
Maybe Nike really doesn’t care that much. Their effort with the line was like a 6/10 so maybe there’s only so far they’re willing to go with it.
In retrospect, the way they sold everything after his death with like a half baked blurb about some proceeds going to the foundation was a terrible...
They filed trademarks for footwear and apparel. From an appeal standpoint maybe it won’t be much of a draw or whatever but who really cares. They can control it and not put up with Nike/the whiny sneakerheads. If it doesn’t take off I’m sure they can live with that.
Great point and that’s probably all there is too it. If Nike’s limited bs made Vanessa and the family catch any type of flak or made them hear one word of whining, then Nike did them a disservice. They could change their production model given the circumstances.
I feel like they’re going to skip to the 8s, unless they actually want to overhaul the 7s instead of doing minor or nonexistent changes and go back to marketing the original “protro” definition
Lol WHY
Nike quickly putting this on their lame tier of techs. I guess they need to try and slap it together with something else in hopes of making it sell. I wish they would just produce new silhouettes and keep it at that.
No doubt these were already made but it was obvious how the release was gonna go under these new circumstances and how it was gonna look. I think their “Mamba Week” stuff was their way to try to legitimize it, instead of turning around to produce more/pulling the plug altogether/doing anything...
We all knew this was how it was gonna go, but actually seeing it and the high reseller prices on StockX/GOAT still feels extra gross. Making a “Mamba Week” or extra long raffle isn’t enough to cover that up.
I was ready to say “well that’s how any release of a decent product goes these days”...
