Bolded for emphasis (and also qft as it also applies to me as well).
Top 10 album of the year by critics, platinum status and still selling in the top 50 from this past week. Alot of people like it.
My sentiments here.
They won't disappoint in a cypher/freestyle, although there were some punchlines in there imo. Good to see that rap gang/team chemistry between them though, that probably impressed me more than anything else.
Lemme guess, the kind that doesn't like "real" hip-hop, right
Damn, guess I should put the Shaolin and Phonte albums I've been enjoying recently in the Recycle Bin. If you like WTT you ain't into "real" hip-hop. Whatever that label is supposed to mean.
Meanwhile, it's among the 20 most acclaimed albums (not just hip-hop, overall) of the year along with Black Up and Take Care.
Can't please everyone you know, especially those looking for their favorite kind of sound when they hunt for music. But as they say, opinions are like %+@$*!%%...
No replay value TO HIM. Just leave it at that.Although I feel the sentiment of your post. Some NT dudes can't simply give their take on a music album, they also gotta tell others who disagree that they're "wrong".
Along with steady sales and the concert tour, WTT is also getting loves from critics. Seems to be hip-hop album of the year by alot of publications and websites - it's on 12 best albums of the year lists, 7 lists puts WTT in their top 10. One puts it in the top 12 albums overall in no order, and...

Y'all need to get over yourselves. No ones forcing you to like the #%!# but damn, don't get mad if people do FOR ME, AOTY are WTT and Cole World. 1a and 1b. There are a bunch of other solid projects though that I enjoyed.
Your last paragraph is the point I'm getting at. It IS opinion when it's all said and done, but it's alot easier to look better with a diss when you're at least hot and/or got a solid and loyal fanbase. Nowadays, Canibus is lacking in both areas espeically compared to Cole. Any "amazing" diss...
Keep acting like the two aren't related
You think public perception and career standing don't play a factor? Canibus could rip J Cole with 1000 bars, at the end of the day, he's Canibus. And the rest of the mainstream music world couldn't care a +%+# less.
According to some on this board though, people aren't supposed to take a rapper's career/legacy into account when it comes to disses. !#%# that
Canibus is a joke.
Retrospective is a #$+@@ ATGD7154xBBx. And in your case, so is nostalgia
If you feel that Game/Cam "murked" 50 when they barely left a scratch on his career, go right ahead. Support your bum rappers who are relegated to mixtape staus and are nearly getting outsold by Big Sean's debut album...
The "battle" you say The only thing Canibus won is LL still being revered as one of the better rap greats ever while the rest of hip-hop calls him Can-i-!%$!+. Oh yeah, Game murked the hell out of 50. Poor Curtis, he's only putting out hit mainstream singles while Game bipolar @!% apologizes to...
What did Canibus and Game "win"? Because they're both jokes in hip-hop whose careers spectacularly crashed and burned. And Cam appeals to his "core" base? Like, all three Dipset fans in NY? That's hard to do isn't it
