Real collectors (in any hobby) don’t hate exclusivity but they don’t “love it” either. It just is what it is. Of course no one enjoys spending as much as possible for something they want but at the same time they understand exclusivity is necessary to keep the hobby special and worth collecting...
At the end of the day a hypebeast is controlled by hype. And the only reason why you would complain about an exclusive release is because you can’t handle your own hype for it
Half this site is such hypebeasts and so selfishly short-sighted they would love it if retros became Walmart shoes as long as it meant they could get their hands on whatever they wanted
Of course they would claim they don’t care about the long-term damage to the brand but in reality they would...
You right I actually forgot about these lol. But were Katrina 3s as iconic and coveted? I assume they were always overshadowed by the OG Fire Reds since they look so similar
Well **** if they do make these a massive GR they gotta change that “Rare Air” patch since that’s just false advertising...
You’re foolin yourself if you think they would take something they made only 72 pairs of, and suddenly make it a massive GR. That’s actually the most hypebeast thing to want lol. When you want something so bad you act like rarity and exclusivity is somehow wrong or bad or unfair…
The fact those...
Ok I’m actually impressed now how dude knew in advance these were gonna brick this hard lol
Turns out these actually did become the cheapest 4s of the past 5 years
I’m usually against lace swaps but these match so flawlessly you had me thinking they came with the shoe. Problem is it’s best for off-feet pics like this where you can see the insole.
In other words these are perfect photos for your resale listing lol
It’s a monochrome shoe but somehow they made the colorblocking look imbalanced lol. Mostly light grey upper with all the dark greys clustered near the bottom-front is throwing me off a bit. That said it’s still one of the better 4s in recent months I guess
Nike is very aware of secondary market prices. They know how exclusive they want certain releases to be and they usually know how limited they need to make them to reach certain prices.
The brand is one of the most important things about sneakers so the reputation and exclusivity of the brand...
Avoid doing lace swaps with laces the shoes don’t come with unless it just makes way more sense to do it than not to. Especially if the colors don’t match. It looks tryhard like you care wayyy too much
That’s what I’m sayin 10 years ago no one coulda predicted this vintage era we’re in. Wonder what kinda trend will affect OG retros in another 10 years
