It may also be a commercial strategy. I think that the retro chlorophyll and navy have sold well. In my opinion, they want to put this emblematic model back in the spotlight. And that means offering new colors and different materials. I look forward to a chlorophyll and wimbledon mesh version!

Indeed. @nike. Please remake this special edition of Air Trainer 1 made for McEnroe. Mac played with this version during Roland Garros tournament in late 80's. White mesh instead of leather. Ideal for spring/summer. Never been released before. I think the right time is coming now..

Nike should release the third og color white/black, so dope colorway. Was it a general release in 1987? (or asia exclusive?)

Completly agreed with you. I was waiting since the 2000 retro version to get this nubuck made. Nike makes an effort to match the og specifications (nubuck, black leather plus the full leather tongue which is a total sucess). Not sure we will see an og retro every next year..

not sure it will be a GR as in Europe the chlorophyll version has been sold by selected shops (not available on SNKRS).

Just ordered the last pair Midnight Navy in size 9 US on A Few Store. Prefer it over the photon model.
