I totally agree with that perspective. I think people that got underwhelmed and upset after buying into the turbo hype played themselves. I say just judge a shoe by the shoe and don't let talk or emotions play a role in deciding to use a shoe for training.
I am really digging that sail/blue cw
Just did my first run in the turbos- they are now my favorite upbeat/tempo shoe on roads. I just wish they came with thinner and firmer insoles. 5 miles in and my insoles were waterlogged with sweat, "squishing" with every step. I might just glue in some...
Does anyone know the actual stack height for the turbo? I'm seeing everything from 10mm to 20mm for the forefoot- even RW says the forefoot height is 17mm when in pictures, it seems clear to me that the turbo has more stack height than the regular peg which is has 18mm in the forefoot.
How do the turbos feel in comparison to the Clifton 4? I'm especially interested in seeing how the forefoot cushioning is on the turbos, given Nike trainers seem to be having less and less forefoot cushioning recently.

I'll be trying them out for steady state runs and speed on roads soon and I'll report back.
I actually chatted with Nike support about it. After consulting their "elite team," they said that the Vapor Street is basically a running shoe that's marketed as a lifestyle shoe. To me, it honestly...
