Thanks, I have the Rattlesnakes, which I’m guessing are a little bit more restrictive than the Mirages due to being leather vs nubuck/suede. I went TTS and they fit perfectly. Looking at pics, I thought the Hikes would be harder material.

Do the Hikes still feel the same as the other Books? I’m thinking about copping but I’m concerned the “snakeskin” toe box material isn’t as soft or pliable as the other versions.

I actually like the understated simple designs. We already have enough fruit loop and Skittle colorway shoes. A lot of the stuff out now is unwearable to me. I'm not finna wear peach/sky blue/neon green colorway shoes.

What I really appreciate about this shoe is the "old school" feel to the materials, but modern flexibility and lightness. I really hate all this mesh weave nonsense, and the Book 1 proves that you don't need paper thin see through silk shoes woven by exotic Amazon Jungle spiders to make a nice...

Extensive use is relative. For me that's 5 hours. :lol: After about 10 hours of play, no issues here, but I'm guessing you mean more time than that.

Guys, I didn't say that they were produced like Nike Blazers. They were mass produced, though, and easy to cop. No cap, I used to occasionally see Kobes on sale at Ross Dress For Less. But yes, I agree that there's a money grab now, and largely fueled by resellers... as with everything nice...

I don't think this is an accurate metaphor. Kobe never produced his sneakers as "works of art". They were always mass produced by Nike and could be once again. The reason they are more expensive is because Nike limits production to artificially create high demand.

Ok, just coming back to update this... I wore some elite socks the next game and it did in fact eliminate any heel slippage. I was just using a sock that was too thin.

I have already dubbed it the “Cantaloupe Slice”. So it has been said, so it shall be written from this day henceforth.
