I didn’t even get into the “quality” when I made my easy call to pass on them. Shape and EP were all I needed to see. It wasn’t some long debate with myself, either. Picked them up, held them up and looked at them for 30 seconds. Walked away depressed but never regretted it for a millisecond.

I don’t know if or what I posted in the thread back then, but I know I had them in my hands in FTL and said, nah, can’t do it :lol:

They still all sucked with the incorrect front lace lock and the Jumpman on the heel :lol:

OG and very early retro IVs don't have the yellow netting problem like all the new stuff does. Same goes for OG Vs, which somehow avoid having their clear netting yellowing anywhere near like the later and current retros do.

But why was it changed in the first place?

I gotta believe it's something like this. Obviously they also changed the actual mold of that area of the posite material, too, with two additional seams in the upper area around the big toe area. Still a bummer.

I look at every image that gets posted in here and sadly they don't grow on me at all. If anything, I like them less than I did when images first appeared. That cantaloupe midsole just looks wrong no matter the colorway or angle I view the shoe from :lol:

Yeah. Thing is, there’s a difference between new shape and close to OG shape. I’m happy enough with my white/reds and they’re better than the Playoff colorway in my opinion. But they ain’t the OGs. Nike’s marketing lately loves to say OG or 1:1, but it’s almost never accurate.

Yeah, exactly, I'll believe it when I see it. But on the off chance they actually improve the shape noticeably, that's great and about time, but I'm gonna be so freaking pissed they waited till after the white/reds dropped to do it.

Toe boxes on some of these are looking like elf shoes :smh:
