Is there a replacement for the Legend React? I had the 1, which I liked, and the 2 really felt great, but it seems like they're pushing the Renew Run as the budget shoe, which is too heel-heavy for my taste.
That's going to be a no from me, dawg. I noticed the Winflo 7's toebox is also roomier than usual and I'm curious if and why that's a direction Nike is going. Is it feedback from endurance athletes? The Chinese market? Actually, does Nike already do wider lasts for its runners in Asia-Pacific...
Basically same as me! I dig the Structure, although I haven't tried out the new one. The Asics Kayano was also a Godsend when I worked on concrete floors. Might also check out the KD 12 or 13, if you don't need it to be a running shoe.
Height and weight? I ask because I found when I fit people when I was a footwear manager, heavier people prefer denser shoes and vice versa. What have you worn in the past and liked?
I always hated volt haha. Not green enough to be the main color, not yellow enough to use as trim on ID shoes. But I may be in the minority. I like other neons, but don't like wearing warm colors.
I had the Lunarglide 5 and 6 and one that might be a little obscure, the Lunar Caldra: an overpriced (debuted at $160, quickly rebranded at $120) training model that was pretty versatile, but just wasn't fitting into my powerlifting workouts at the time. I'd love a pair now, though.
Looks like budget HIIT and Met Con (I'm assuming the "MC" stands for metabolic conditioning) shoes are up
Speed Rep (HIIT)
MC Trainer (definitely looks like a successor to the DSX Repper)
I usually wipe mine down and spray the insides and then drop them off at my LRS. Most independent and chain running stores also have donation/recycling bins
Pretty interested in what this is. Seems like a SuperRep model potentially better suited for lifting? Almost reminds me of the Metcon Repper/Tech Trainer.
The idea is that you are not an automaton and are an individual who differentiates themself.
The irony is that you'd be buying a mass-produced shoe from a mega-corporation that was designed for workouts by a multi-national fitness brand that has highly-structured regimens 🤗🤷
I only partially...
I think pretty much every company should do this. Most non-running shoes before about 88-89 feel like absolute garbage. Puma is especially guilty of currently distributing like 20 different different models that are just a rubber cupsole with a thin liner inside.
Also, have you tried the Bruin...
I did not, and I loved the 4s. I used them for powerlifting-style training. My only thoughts are maybe your sock situation? If you used 100% cotton socks or none at all?
"Hubba hubba hubba. Money money money. Who do you trust? Me? I'm giving away free Nikes. And where... is the Jumpman? He's at home! Washin' his sneaks!"
