Initially I was slightly disappointed....not in the shoe but as a Laker fan wanting the shoe. Once I got over that it didn't match my jersey, the shoe regained its full appeal to me. I may try to slide a lakers hat or something without as much purple with it just to honor the failed Laker...

Got my pair today. Shoe seems to be a deep shade of purple (concord)......I put it next to my purple Kobe jersey (which was not my only reason for copping lol) and it was almost as if the shoe turned blue....it was crazy. Nevertheless, it's a keeper.

I wonder how the translucent sole is gonna age. A part of me thinks that as it browns from oxidation it might complement the shoe even more than the bluish tone it has out the box.

Yeah I tried to finagle the price difference refund a few weeks ago but got nowhere. They did build them with the full length zoom insole for what it was worth.
