Just found this thread. Thought I'd chime in since there don't seem to be many guitar players on NT.
It might be a stretch to call myself a "guitar player". I've played piano and violin and taught myself how to play "More than Words" and a few Bob Marley songs on my dad's old acoustic...
Hang on. Sorry if I’m late. I’ve been on NT on and off since 2001 and I usually check out the tennis related threads. I’ve seen your screen name around. Are you Jannik Sinner?
The older you get, the more joints hurt and comfort becomes key. Now I know why old folks walk around in Hokas and Kayanos all damn day. Not trying to stop wearing Jordans because I'm old.
Tell that to all the ebayers selling worn sneakers as "new".
But also, if you were to try on a pair at Footlocker, they would not mark it down as "pre-owned".
If I was to sell them I would very much disclose they were tried on at home, on carpet but I'll stop uising the term "DS".
Got these on release day in 2018. Was thrilled to get them after selling my cracking 2001s but now after seeing the shape, print and short tongue, I'm thinking I don't want them now.
Except for trying them on in house, they're still DS. Been wearing the Zoom Vapor AJ3 BCs instead.
I'm in the same boat. Some of the midsoles feel intact, until they aren't. I don't have the time or patience to learn how to properly reglue soles and midsoles. I'm slowly accepting that my early 2000s collecting is done for and I'll be selling them off for whomever wants restore them.
There was a guy on IG I follow that charges $300 for a full reglue of the midsole and outsole. If that's the going rate, then forget it. I'll move on.
Yeah, I don't have the skill nor the time for the DIY thing. You deserve credit for trying.
Is it worse that the 2006-7 Aero Jam retro had "2" but skimped on details (ie: no purple paint splatter, white lining at the ankle instead of teal)?
Still, I feel fortunate to have that Aero jam retro with the 2008 KB8 retro with the "8".
Maybe Ronnie set some aside. There is 0 proof that there is a way to tell what's in each box, and I don't believe things with 0 proof. That's not dumb. They're 100% random until proven otherwise. You sound like a spoiled kid who can't deal with reality.
If I happen to get a non-PSA slabbed card I'm still sending it in to PSA to get graded. Imagine confusing a buyer into thinking it was a co branded PSA slab, lol.
I was a collector of the original card set. I did not keep them mint, though I do remember colored hologram chase cards that I...
