Yeah, I bought all of mine for anywhere between about $55 (Emeralds) and $85 (red and Spurs) in late 2015 through early 2016. I also randomly found the Billy Hoyle's for $65 or so at a Nordstrom rack store. I'm glad I got them, but since I never wear them, I'll probably end up reselling at some...
Currently, the absolute cheapest price for the Command Force Billy Hoyle on StockX is $180 (size 10). The most expensive is $450. You consider $180 to be jack shlt? I guess you must be quite the high roller!
$105 at Ross? What a joke. Still negligibly better than ebay, but when one considers the value of their time, definitely not worth it. I'd rather just buy on ebay and get them shipped to my house. Very little time and effort versus trudging through the dreaded Ross.
Side note: Not sure about...
Just buy 'em on ebay. You can probably find them for around $100 or less if you're patient (assuming you're a size 12 or under).
Your time has to worth something. If you spend 10 hours of your time to save $50 on the emeralds (or more likely, turn up empty-handed), is that really worth it?
I just did a quick search, and currently there's a red pair for $160 in a size 14. No other colors available, even if you wanted to pay $1,000. Crazy!
The more common sizes, about 11.5 and lower, can still be had at pretty reasonable prices. I've seen a bunch for under $120 shipped.
Wow, crazy! I never bought these since the value just wasn't there for me. At those prices, however, I would definitely buy a few pairs (well, probably as many as they would let me buy lol).
Too bad we've never been lucky enough to see those prices in the U.S. Although I wonder if some of those...
I'm assuming you may wear a size 10 or less? I wear an 11 or 11.5, and I never came across any colorway in an 11 or bigger for $49. And I'm pretty savvy about finding deals on stuff I want. The only thing close if I remember correctly was the emeralds for about $55 from the Tulare outlet store...
As mentioned throughout this thread, it might be a good idea for some people to go a 1/2 size up due to the narrow toe box. That worked for me, anyway.
Regarding price, I was patient and got the four colorways I wanted (Hoyle's, hyper jade, black, and red) for somewhere between $60 and $80...
You are right, any item in the world is only worth what someone else is willing and able to pay (monetarily speaking, of course). That's a given, and I'm obviously not disputing that.
If everyone that bought these at full price when they first retro'd was a multi-millionaire (rich), I wouldn't...
Better than ebay prices I suppose, but not by much. If you wear a size 11 or under, they are even cheaper.

Aftermarket prices on these...
I'd love to buy my little guy AM 90's and various other cool/retro shoes (pumps, etc). The problem (for me) is that all of the cool shoes have plain old laces, with no easy/creative way to take them on and off, such as faux laces with underlying Velcro or something. Trying to tie shoes on a...
Yeah, minimal feedback and he had the shoe in at least two sizes. He was selling another of the more rare colorways, too. And I vaguely recall the stitching around the swoosh being less than perfect (one attribute of fakes, or so I have read).
I saw a pair of reverse infrareds on ebay a month or two ago for like $67 shipped (buy it now). I really wanted them, but at that price, they were virtually guaranteed to be fake, so I didn't bother. I'm not willing to pay ridiculous reseller prices for these. It also got me thinking that maybe...
Do many people still sear suits? Virtually all professionals I know directly and have come in contact with do not wear suits (including numerous lawyers, except for court appearances). I can understand if you're a very high-level executive, but even then, some of the most successful executives...
I can definitely relate to the feeling of wanting to move on, @CharmCityKid. I didn't buy the AP's (not sure if I will or not), mostly because I'm too cheap to pay even $225 for them. I may give in at some point, we'll see. I do have four color ways of the ACF's, though, and duplicates of some...
