Ok well I guess I'll find out this week when they show up and report back. For reference, I can't fit into a size 13 sockdart. The toe room is fine, its just too tight around the top of my foot and I practically tear them trying to get them on, same as the XL Presto sizing. 

I ordered some triple white ones in a size 14, I hope that's the same as the old XXL. I normally wear a 13 but the opening to all of these sock fit type shoes are too small to get my foot into. Plus the laces were quite a bit longer on the XXL vs the XL.  

I guess you're right. The abuse they've taken has tuned them into a smoother finish. Either way, It's still a bit disappointing they don't have nicer materials on such an expensive item. If they were't my all time favourite shoe I wouldn't have spent the money on them.  If you're into other...
