Hate to be Captain hindsight, but can't stop thinking of where this team would be if we traded up for LaMelo.
Trade #8, #38, Mitch & Frank to Golden State for the 2nd overall Pick
Pick #2 - PG LaMelo Ball
Pick #27 - F Jaden McDaniels
Free Agency: Christian Wood, Austin Rivers, Taj Gibson, Nic...
Love what Kanter has been doing down low & on the boards. But I thought Jeff kept him in too long. Cavs dropped 43 pts in the 4th with a small lineup and Horny waited too long to put Lance in. That was the difference. Not Kanter's fault, but you can't play two 7 footers when you are getting...
Can't Disagree with these points, but I could visualize foul trouble hurting KP.
Bottom line is KP is best as the "low man" alongside another PF/C who can defend smaller players on the perimeter, while also being better than KP than handling bruisers (not too many these days ) on the low block...
Got tickets up top for last night's game for $15. Place was empty. Finessed seats 12 rows back at halftime.
The crowd was easily 75% Knicks fans
KP & Melo looked flat. Rose looked great
If NYK had to choose between Noah & Fournier, I would take Fournier. I like Noah, but I think SG is a bigger need than the 5. Rather pay an underrated C for the low because KP gonna close out games at the 5
Buyer Beware: Knicks should not overspend on a high profile center in FA. Noah is the highest C I would bid on. Other than that it is not worth spending on a player who is glued to the bench against small ball lineups. Think about how useful defensive centers Bogut and Ezeli were in the playoffs
Since the Hornacek hiring is official, would you rather a small ball frontcourt of Melo at the 4 & KP at the 5 (similar to Morris - Frye in PHX )
Or, stick with the traditional lineup with Rolo at the 5. KP seems more comfortable at the 4 right now, and it keeps him out of foul trouble...
I like Teague's playmaking, but the Knicks don't have the assets to get him. I think we should go hard after Batum in free agency. He would thrive in a psuedo PG/ Ron Harper role. I think he is the best playmaker available this offseason. He averages more APG than Conley, and is extremely...
