So if i were to get a pair of lets say watch the throne samples that are legit....its ok to buy?

Hey guys i was wondering if samples are illegal or legal. I see people selling/buying samples, but my friend thinks its illegal to own samples. So are they illegal?

The box is blacked out were the persons name was from the school. He says that he blacked out his name on the shoes and box so he wouldn't get in trouble for selling on ebay.

They aren't DS but aside from that I've seen tounges a little choppy that I know for a fact are legit.

I have no idea why its blacked out, but the box and tag are good. and asking $800 and not sure if a receipt or not i can ask though.
