You're right, in a nutshell "Pantone" universal colour system that converts colours so they look the same regardless if the end product is print, digital or fashion etc. I could be wrong but apparently 284 is one used by JB. I guess they decided using Pantone sounds better the AJXI P-284.

Its hard to call this colourblocking when you splash red all over the shoe and bypass the midsole. Never would have thought the day would come where I'd love the sockliner inside the shoe more than outside...JB turn this shoe inside out and you probably have my $$.
