Nightwing said that the Kyrie 4 has full length cushlon with a small zoom unit in the hill. Is anyone familiar with cushlon? Is it better than Phylon?

Traction is definitely not great. It’s sub par to par. Don’t understand why they didn’t make the traction better. Everything else about the shoe is amazing. Been playing in the shoes for 2 months daily and when the court is dust, get ready to wipe after ever 1 to 2 plays.

What insole did you use?

Do you think an insole swap would cause instability in the shoe?

The 31’s traction was horrible and NBA player played in them. Pristine courts do make a huge difference.

Traction isn’t great. Below average IMO, especially on dusty courts.

Can you put a custom orthotic in the curry 4? Or do you think it would be unstable?

Funny thing is, I tried on a full size down in stores and it didn’t feel too tight at all.

It felt the same for me so far. But I have to break them in first to give a more accurate comparison.

Just got the GITP via mail. Gonna put these bad boys to the test today. I went a half size down and they still have some toe space, but they fit pretty snug widthwise.

Thanks for the in-depth response. Traction is very important to me. If a shoe doesn’t make me feel fast or confident in my moves, I stir away from the shoe. Might have to try the D Rose 8, cuz impact protection is also important time me. Thanks again.

I agree. I have plenty of shoes that grip better than the Dame 4. It’s definitely the rubber compound.

Not that I’m aware of. You can’t find them anywhere else in stores. Only online (Eastbay, Adidas, Finishline).

I loved everything about the shoe, but the traction was below average. I didnt feel confident in make quick moves. Really disappointing.
