Can only comment on PNW hiking but they are pretty bad. Upper is too porous and lets in too much water/moisture. Traction is OK but not great and fairly slippery.

I kind of agree. If there's something that's maybe suspect, then post away but if everything looks good, like that RC pair posted, I see no reason to ask for an LC just for the sake of it.

You're right about to each his own but your logic does make me laugh. A tee/hoodie with huge cartoon logos and characters on it is chill but a tiny Disney logo that 99% of people will never even see on the heel of the shoe is a no go.
