Porterhouse medium rare, grilled asparagus and zucchini, charred bread w/ butter, olive oil, and old bay, watermelon salad with mint, feta, pickled onion, and olive oil and balsamic vinegar
Filipino brunch- Spamsilog -Tocino flavored spam, garlic fried rice (sinangag), and eggs over easy (itlog). Also some cherry tomatoes to cut through all the heavy things. The tomatoes were so good.
After a 24h shift at the hospital, I can't sleep, so I cook.
Today I made Filipino breakfast burritos.
Garlic rice, scrambled egg, and sweet cured pork shoulder (tocino), with American cheese, green onion and cilantro, wrapped up in a tortilla
Ate them on different plates. The omelet plate is actually bigger. I usually don't mind my foods touching, there just wasn't space for everything on one plate.
Made bread pudding last night.
It's challah bread, with the custard base made with eggs, milk, sugar, and leftover pumpkin pie ice cream that I had. I also tossed in some almonds and dried blueberries.
Last night's bread pudding became this morning's French toast.
