Say whut you want about Nike's quality, but I've been rocking my ACG Zoom Trico's EVERY winter since '97. Best boot ever.
And if it's not snowing, the beat collection gets some playing time, too (Michigan Dunks, St. John's Dunks, White/Grey JIIIs from '01).
They could prob'ly go this winter...
The tuxedo shirt is nice.
All the other pseudo-retro Jordan shirts and gear has been weak.
This one is clever, and kinda fly. Best Jordan shirt since they reissued the Playground JIVs joint...
These are nice as hell -- I'd rather have them than the released versions (which I own), though they're nice as well.
But these are how Jordans SHOULD be -- mad polarizing, with loads of both admirers and haters, and crazy-looking as hell. These look a lot more streamlinedthan the released...
They drop on the 23rd, not the 24th.
And while it IS total B.S. that you gotta pay to pre-order, think of it like this -- you're buying yourself a gift certificate for $238.
Or pretend someone else bought it for you... I'm just glad they didn't screw us outta this joint like so many others...
dro 44:
Good pix.... I wuz a big St. John's fan in the Artest/Barkley/Thorton days -- good teams, just mad undersized. As for retros, Sam Jacobsen @ Minnesotaworse J 3's back in the late 90s, too...
Also a big G'town fan. I think JYD used to wear the Zoom Flight 95 high, while Victor Paige...
^AirForce1s -- good lookin' out... I assume all the usual suspects will receive them (FL, Champs, etc.)?
One question -- will they be excluded from SPC? Cuz if not, two pairs may be required...
After the BS LeBron IV, V and VI sales, I thought Canada might never get us some LBJ releases on...
I almost never cop retro colorways that weren't originally releases, but the Eggplant Foamposites are the single best Retro+ colorway executed EVER. Theonly other contender would be the Cool Grey Jordan XIs, but almost all other Retro+ colorways are outlandish, faddish or just plain weak...
While it doesn't seem that long ago to me (since I copped two pairs when they originally released), they're still good to go -- playing or strictlysporting. While I balled in (and subsequently) destroyed my IIIs, my IIs from '97 are still in pretty nice shape.
1998 wuzn't that long ago, and...
GP talkin' smack as he drops 58 on USC in his Air Force STS's in White/Orange for the Beavers....
Steve Smith and his boys admiring all his joints circa 90/91 -- which include three colorways of the JIIIs, a bunch of Flights and other assorted stuffincluding Le Coq Sportif's... In the rest of...
Added some light grey laces to differentiate these joints on the subtle tip... I recall these joints vividly from my youth, and it's a pleasure to own themfor the first time.
Creasing is for real, even with only a couple casual wearings, but c'est la vie -- and the orange rilly does pop...
Here it is, y'all...
Rose, or "Young Power", as me and my boys call him, certainly deserves a cover -- but adidas don't.
It's not his fault that adidas are weak. But it kinda is his fault for choosing them -- but it's also Nike's bad for let the best baller in hisclass go without rocking the...
^Process -- thanks for the info.
I don't mind waiting a li'l longer than the U.S. as long as we get the first colorway that drops, which I assume is the white/black/red joint. If wedon't get access to that one, I'll be P.O.'ed....
Anyone know when/if Canada, specifically Toronto, will be getting LBJ VIIs? I know we missed out on the first (and best) colourway of the VI only to get a slewof the weaker colourways later in the year -- and the boutiques don't seem to do modern b-ball kicks (much less retros).
Will the VII be...
I've bought three of the four(?) colorways of the Air Raid IIs off eBay and wore them a number of times without problems. The Black/Kinte colorway wuzused, and any wear has been to the suede or nubuck, and even then it's black so it's not really noticeable. And the soles haven't separated...
Agree with the above^... These Hyperizes are sick because the design is nice and the colorways are bangin'. Any "tie-in" to the movie is astretch at best, and this flick still holds up after nearly 20 years. Besides, Sidney Deane's seed is wearing baby JVIs -- you can't beat that.
This may be...
While I agree that Foamposites are quite durable, I can't say the same for Flightposites.
The sole is a lot thinner, and if you hoop in them, especially outdoors, you run the risk of this happening (though it's an extreme case):
These are my OG Flightposites, after about a zillion indoor and...
