Yeah, and I think it's the stance as well. The heel-toe drop feels much gentler in NMs than in the OG soles. You can see it in this side-by-side comparison, too. The OG soles put you in a steeper, almost tip-toeing stance.

So is "Nike Tech Ultramesh" marketing jargon for 'just a different kind of mesh'?
Can't argue against preferences. 99% of my Roshes are OG-soled, but the NM feels like an improvement in comfort, if not in looks. And really, it isn't such a bad look, is it? Too bad NMs have mostly been on the weird-fitting taped uppers. Id' give them a chance on OG mesh uppers.
Nike should really release every Roshe from this point on in the NM tooling; looks sharper and feels more comfortable.
Or at least re-release older colorways in the NM tooling. Team Reds on these would be nice.
The good ol days fallacy gets thrown around a lot, but they made and are still makin good ones long after 2012. Team Reds came a year after the 'all so perfect' OG 7, and many others I wouldn't call 'a shame' (DMBs, FB Mints, Metrics, Gold Trophy, etc)
That forefoot sidewall on the IVs is a ticking time bomb for sole separation. Would be nice to get wearable pairs of both the IVs and Vs, none of my old ones survived
END has five of the OG 7 (inspired) colorways of the LD-1000s. I only really want the Iguanas and Sirens, but it's really cool seeing them come back in LD form
