preach brotha!
i'm sick of reviews that say nothing but good stuff about the boot.... it's like these dudes are scared that if they say something critical nike won't be happy and yank their review.
surprised to see this on the front page. i haven't gotten anything to test in a couple years (soccer). kinda surprised because i thought i did a good job with my wearlogs. maybe they're not using the program as much.
i'll give credit to nike; their ad guys always bring their A game for the world cup.
lol at eden hazard's kit - if he played for a nike team i'm sure he'd have a bigger role in the commercial. i'm glad they used tim howard as the US representative. he fits in with the elite euro crowd a lot...
nike continues to do a tremendous job with the croatia kit - it's always in my top 5. if you had to pick one picture to put in the dictionary next to a soccer/football shirt, croatia's would be it.
dutch shirt will also be copped; i just need to figure out who's name i'm getting on the back.
billions worldwide will be watching the best footballer on the planet this summer.... and this is the best adidas can do?! give him a pair of golden boots beckham-style and it'd be miles better than that. really disappointed with these; was expecting something special.
you definitely could be right. i think we all take these with a grain of salt; the reason i went ahead and posted was that paul lukas of uniwatch (a reputable site) retweeted. ill let him know.
i think of the FC basel kit as "what would barcelona look like if they were an adidas team." they're sister clubs (joan gamper captained fc basel and then formed barcelona), so it's not a coincidence that they have the same colors.
ehhhh i think i'll pass.... the first thing i think of after shaking the other team's hands is getting my jersey and compression shorts off and getting into cotton boxers/tshirt and doing some cooldown stretching in that. the last thing i want to do is put on even tighter compression gear!
agreed. he's tremendous when he analyzes for ESPN - i'm just afraid that ESPN won't be able to afford him any longer since he's becoming a (well deserved) bigshot.
i haven't worn tights in-game yet, but i'll admit that i'll wear a nike running headband if we have a morning game and it's in the 30s or low 40s at kickoff. there isn't any outdoor here from thanksgiving through after st patrick's day, so i've never had anything too brutal. i'm usually good...
^did they find the anonymous person kicking around the ball on the streets? awful technique.
seems like the smaller panels (actually similar size panels, but now with grooves in the panels) are the biggest change in nike balls in more than a few years. the "less energy in, more energy out"...
i really don't mind the kit - although i think nike should try to establish some sort of identity with USSF shirts. i know it's not original, but keep the diagonal sash, even if it's subtle.
my biggest complaint is that the badge is a complete joke. the centennial badge should have been made...
interesting idea. i can guarantee that nike or adidas will make their own version in the next couple of years simply because it's another way to make more money off of injury-conscious parents. it would be cool if they made the product without the stirrup.
for sleeves, i've been using the...
