This, right?
I agree, that was a good look. It was a throwback that didn't look dated. I remember seeing someone on another forum with the hookup, or something, and had a couple of them in pro-cut/issued form.
Two things I'd consider. First, that jock tag looks awfully high. Second, doesn't that 'Nique Swingman it's hanging next to have its Jerry West on the wrong side?
First of all, this a question more suited for the Swingman thread.
Second of all, I think the word you're looking for is "legit", which refers to the authenticity (hence, "legit check"), while "authentic" refers to the jersey level/type.
Third of all, I don't think Ross would ever dare risk...
I had some really old Swingman jerseys without +2 length, so that might've been a first-run thing and not necessarily a red flag. There's nothing that really jumps out at me as wrong. I mean, the shoulders are the right width and the jock tag is placed correctly. Were Swingman jerseys made in...
So how it was explained to me on JC or PJT was that during the very early days of the Swingman jersey (like around 1999), Nike made a finite number of Jordans, despite him being out of the league by then. I don't remember if it was explained to me as a sample run or just a limited number to see...
The Ross I found the Centennial at was a no-go. Some decent MLS kits, yes, but no Waldos. Alas, I set out on another quest during lunch break tomorrow.
Saw @BaldGrill whip out his, and it made me wanna go fishing for mine.
Got it last year. I said that by hook or by crook, I was gonna get a modern Bulls Jordan road jersey without breaking the bank. This Swingman was good enough for me.
'Sheed played exactly one game for the Hawks, and scored 20. I remembered ESPN or NBA TV doing a bit about Hawks players who have averaged at least 20 points a game in their entire Hawks careers (minimum one game played).
In celebration of the revelation of the 45 from M&N, I thought I'd break out this old guy. A little wrinkly, but still alive. Could probably use a wash, too.
I remember when I got this, too. Thanksgiving 2004 with my family in Vegas. From a sports memorabilia spot in Caesar's. Mom got it for me...
I still can't get over the irony of Wes in the Kobe IX Elite tonight. I know, a whole bunch of other players play in them, freak injury, blah blah blah, but still.
I'd second that. The customs can get you with your guard down, because you just don't expect them. Wasn't there some guy who stripped M&N jerseys and replaced them with, like, Champion tags from replicas? And he was on here or someplace else asking if anyone had any extras because of a...
They both look like fake Swingman, and Nike didn't make Swingman versions of these jerseys (except a black HWC Magic for McGrady).
Swingman always have letter sizes; authentics always have numerical sizes.
All legit tags sit way lower.
Nike Swingman tags have a gray background, not black...
I didn't say it was a good market, but I bet they all came to be worth more than during his four years in Miami. I saw so many replicas and swingmans just given away in that time. Like hanging onto a stock for too long, you're just glad there's any value in it to sell for anything.
^Edit: Case...
Ah, I remember that name from my lurking days.
And I love how KG's return has suddenly revived the market for his Timberwolves jersey. I'm sure LeBron's return had some resellers like:
