Strictly from a ballplayers/performance perspective, the retro XII's were NOTHING like the og's. Asthetically they may have looked like the OG, but they didn't play like them.
For me, that was a major let down.
That shoe is beautiful, a marked improvement over the original. I love the Air Vents at the heel, and I cannot wait to cop a pair. This shoe looks as if it has some serious lock down fit going on, then major off court potential as well.
So much 4 that "guard" shoe myth. The Zoom BB is a very good shoe, and I hate Zoom Air. It just goes to show you that when you simply make a good hoops shoe, it is adaptable 2 every position on the floor.
^Agreed^
They are comically disgusting, especially with the yellow accents. The Zoom BB's are the best lookin' release for Nike Hoops in a loooooonnnnnng time, and they even messed those up by mixing colors like Pimento and Wheat on the GR's.
But these Kobe III's are gonna be funny, especially...
They do have an Air Darwin feel to them...but since this is a Air Kobe, they, Nike, had better limit the release of these to the Staples Center.
Thank gawd I migrated to Adidas a long time ago, as these are embarassing. Is anyone from "jock" Collector, gonna petition Nike to do a special makeup...
"guy is totally obsessed with hating on ANYTHing that has to do with kobe bryant."
And then you said....
..."you take the internet way too serious dude"
You defend Kobe as if he pays 4 your Paxil prescription.
People like you will always say something like this, when you are backed into a...
NobleKane,
If I were on fire and I were in the desert, I wouldn't even want you to urinate on me. In fact, I wouldn't even want you to blow in my direction, to try and blow out the flames.
That is how I feel about anything that comes from, then around you.
In fact, Kobe Bryant had better...
The problem is that he wears those big man shoes, because he WANTS to wear them, not because of his 'needs'. Just as I love to debunk the myth of the Guard shoe, he does the same with the big man shoe crap.
There was a time that all players wore the same shoes, remember Chucks, Superstars...
"No way one shoe can conform to each athlete."
Again, don't you think that it's what the athlete is comfortable with? I'm 2fiddy, I love light shoes that would be considered guard type shoes. My boy who is a buckseventyfive, rocks what would be considered Big Man shoes.
There is thing called...
GCS is supposed to work when you make lateral cuts, and for me, I noticed it. Whether or not the shoe, the Gil Zero Mids in this case, actually made me quicker, is up 4 debate. What it felt like was that your feet had extra leverage during quick stops, then cutting to the left or right.
The whole sig shoe thing is dead, flat out. Outside of a few shoeheads, there isn't alot of demand to wear a sig shoe. Jordan is an icon, a world changer, a name brand outside of Nike, so his thing is solid. But 4 every other player with a sig shoe, he'll see his stuff sitting on the shelves...
Great looking shoes, I like Chaunceys' and Timmy Dees the best.
In regard to Guards needing different "tech" than Bigs, that is a load of crap that Nike created. Weight and "tech" worn in a hoops shoe is a matter of choice, not position nor bodyweight.
I like this new shoe, but I am not buying it. I don't like the strap, but without it the shoe does remind me of the XIXSE, a shoe that I love the looks of.
I don't understand why Nike Basketball cannot design a shoe that has a strap, which can be completely taken off without any remnants left...
The popularity of luxury items, and then the collecting of shoes, all depends on the economic conditions of where you live. If people have money to waste, they will spend that money on frivilous items such as footwear.
That said, I don't care if the economy is weak or strong, the ZKIII is flat...
