I think folks here are being a bit too harsh on the Celtics tonight.
They’ve been shooting LIGHTS OUT for the majority of the series. Which is why the series went 2-1 before this game.
Either they keep it up, and hope Steph doesn’t have another all-time performance again or they come back...
Maybe I’m missing something, but how do you figure?
The Celtics have been the bigger, faster, and stronger team this series. They should’ve won this game.
It took Steph having arguably the greatest performance of his HoF career to steal a win.
Very well said. When the Warriors lose this series, this is the point when we’ll see Dray as an offensive liability he’s been for the past 5-6 years.
If he really does care about winning, he’ll accept a more limited role.
That was one of the greatest Finals performances I’ve ever seen from an individual player. We’re so fortunate to have seen maybe 3 of those from the last 5-7 years by different players. Goosebumps if you’re a true fan of the league.
Apologies if it's been discussed already, but there isn't a 2022 NBA Finals thread?
Celtics taking games 3 & 4. I still stand by my prediction of Celtics winning the series in 6.
IDK If this is a reach, but so far, the Finals feel a lot like the ECF.
The Warriors have been the better team through most of the series.
Game 1: Warriors dominated 95% of the game, and you see the Celtics come out like gang busters and take the win.
Game 2: Warriors dominated on both ends...
Yeah, they did. I thought the Warriors settled for the 3 too much in the 4th.
Also, they stopped moving the ball as well. Someone mentioned, GSW needs to put pressure on the rim, and they need someone to step up and fill that void. IDK who does that, but they need it.
I agree.
But I'd also say, that was probably the best offensive performance you'll get out of the team, collectively. Horford and White had career nights. I don't know if they can do that again or consistently through a 7-game series.
I also don't know if Tatum stepping up, and Horford and...
Celtics shot lights out in the 4th. But their defense was the real gem to watch. Certainly didn't expect Horford to lead the team in points, or White to score 20+ either.
Nothing much has changed for me. I have the Warriors winning Game 2 and then losing both games in Boston. Celtics in 6.
All very good points, but if the refs allow the Celtics to play physical defense, the same way they allowed them to play in the ECF, I think the Warriors are in some trouble.
Yes, the Warriors did just go through Luka, but the Mavs were VERY limited with offensive options. The Celtics do not...
For the folks who are predicting the series, I'm curious to know the logic behind it
I have the Celtics winning the series in 6, maybe 7 if the Warriors either steal a road game or Celtics give one away.
Celtics have a variety of guys, both starters and role players who are comfortable...
It's a shame Kendra Andrews mishandled that situation so poorly. She's from the Bay Area, she obviously grew up a Warriors fan and was given a great opportunity to cover the Warriors during the postseason.
She's new to this reporting gig and was pulling straws during her report. It's an early...
