Both of those top pairs look like 2001 retros to me in various states of aging. Not saying that top pair isn’t a ‘96, I know pairs do vary but it does look suspicious. Only thing that makes me question my judgement is the slight blue tint that is still visible, but people do dye soles.
I would argue we are not their average consumers. People who frequent Niketalk and nitpick every angle and crevice of the shoe are far from average. Their average consumer is my 17 year old kid that never owned a pair of OG’s and just thinks the shoes look cool. I always take that into account...
JB don’t care bro. They’ve done way more stupid and unnecessary things over the years. This is the same company that has 3 different molds for AJ1’s and 2 or 3 molds for the AJ1 low. The madness will never end.
This is gonna be a double up. Finally did these right after all of these years. My Mom drove me 45 minutes away to track down a pair of these when I was a kid. Rocked them proudly with a fugazi UNC jersey I found at a local mom and pops sneaker shop. Great times 😂
*sidenote: The clowns in the...
Anyone thinking that the ‘18 pair looks better than the ‘24 in anyway shape or form seriously needs their heads checked. All questions about authenticity of these newest pics aside, these are head and shoulders above the 2018.
Exactly, the cost hasn’t mattered in years which is why they will sell you an air penny 1 for 160-170 that retailed in ‘95 for $140, yet sell you an AJ XI that dropped at the same time for a lesser price of $125 for an outrageous price of $230 in 2024. They just know that people will pay for the XI.
We used to do this with our socks in junior high for basketball games lol. Only hoopers did this. Mid to late 90’s. The matching armband was necessary too 😂
I’m gonna see if these hit that good ol’ discount rack. Can’t afford to pay retail for pairs that I don’t have to anticipating all of the money I’ll be spending on sneakers 3rd qtr this year through 2025.
Yeah this, Nike JB didn’t just start flooding the market. They’ve been releasing an obscene amount of sneakers for years now. The economy just has people focusing on necessities and not frivolous wants. The average family is having to spend an extra 30k just to maintain the same life they were...
Yeah as previously stated, the economy has killed resale. I really don’t think Nike/ JB has had much to do with the current state of the sneaker market.
