The question of performance is not the same as the question of durability. A good performing shoe may not necessarily be durable. A durable shoe may not necessarily be a good performer on court.

Quick question NT fam: is the outsole of the XX8 SE All Star Game similar to that of the XX8 Black/Electric Green?

^Nah, it's not really brilliant marketing. It's more or less of a textbook (basic) marketing, so to speak. Nothing new with the way JB builds the hype for the XX9.

The image at the third quadrant reminds me of the textile used for some jeans.

"Let's save these for the playoffs," says R. Westbrook in the video. So it's a late-than-the-usual-RD release for the XX9, not next season as we thought it would for quite some time now. Funny, though, that JB has a playoff edition for the XX8 SE.

...except, perhaps, the shoes.

Negative bruh, it really is plain black in person. edit: Not so sure about the rest of the PO pack, though. They do look like they have that 3M reflective tongue. Or maybe I just wasn't able to look at the XX8 SE at a certain angle so that the tongue will reflect?  edit: Well, the description...

Strange, in-store the actual shoe has a different color for the tongue.   (Photo not mine, but that's how the shoe looks like in person)

Has anybody played in the XX8 SE "Playoff" (the one with Atomic Mango colorway)? I wonder if there is any change with the feel of the zoom units. Could they be at least a bit more durable than the earlier releases of the XX8 SE?

Elephant print or...FLYKNIT? Hmmm... 

Dayum the lunarlon midsole and zoom (heel + forefoot) and flightplate combo (all for $130!) could make the PO a winner! Looks like we have an on-court performance beast right here!

I won't be surprised if a Christmas colorway of the Elite drops sometime in December. It's not yet in the calendar.
