Ahmad was actually quite active in promoting the Air Jordans. He and Michael were good friends (Ahmad was the only person MJ would do an interview with during his famous "media shutout"). I still remember him at the beginning of game 4 of the Finals vs. the Lakers making a big deal over MJ...

That's kind of weird. Most merchants only need the zip to match for approval. However, if you live in an apartment, I've found something as minuscule as putting "# xxx" instead of "Apt xxx" when a full address is needed for something can cause problems. Did you end up getting this resolved? ...

I was about to say the same thing on the black/red XIs. The concords sat around a bit. Believe it or not, despite being considered one of, if not THE most popular model of AJs today, they didn't exactly get rave reviews upon original release. I heard everything from the above mentioned rain...

MJ had plenty of not so flattering off-court "activities" too (getting blasted for gambling excessively, loosing bets/writing checks to well-known convicted criminals, cheating on and subsequently getting divorced from his wife, etc.), but it didn't hamper his popularity and commercial appeal. ...

With any credit card processing, pretty much the only thing that needs to match up is your zip code on your BILLING ADDRESS. In other words, the address your credit card statements/bills are sent to each month. Nike stores do not allow you to ship to an address that's different than where your...

I have to disagree with this to an extent. On one hand, you're right. We may be Air Jordan fanatics, thus were actively looking at what shoes he was wearing throughout his career, but the mass public wouldn't know the difference between a V and a XIII, let alone what year Jordan wore them, and...

^^ What he said. Considering that the black/V-Reds have sat so long at some outlet stores that they have been seen as low as $70 (yes, even a-grades), I think it's safe to say you're not getting jack for them if you sell them. Besides, you could easily wear your pair into the ground by the...

I've mentioned this several times in various threads when people try to prove a certain model was not popular/is overhyped/etc by saying "they sat on shelves back in the day", as if that pertained only to that particular model. What they fail to mention, or perhaps don't realize, is this was...

I was thinking that, but then....how do you explain everything they DO come out with? Though I do have to say a couple of those were nice. I don't even like the XIVs in general, yet I did a double take on the ones in the OP.
