Agreed, definitely a preference thing. I think I'm more a fan of the smooth leather rather than the crazy tumbled leather we have now.

Turned my 2017 Royals into my beaters so I decided to pick up the 2013 Royals. Damn these are nicer than the 2017s imo. The shape is good and I like how the leather isn't super soft so it will keep its shape over the years. Also the material on the tongue is way better than the 2017s.

Personally I'm not a fan of the 1's that have released so far this year. I'm using this time to go back and grab a few pairs that I missed. I'm trying to grab all the years of the royals (currently own the 2017s). I was able to grab the 2013s for 275 DS (size 12) on SX. Now I'm hoping I can find...
