The ZF2 soles are both 12.5 in the Platinum/Diffused Blue/Football Grey/Bright Crimson. The Streak FK upper is size 13. However, the Lunareipic is only a size 12! They run rather large. Any racing flat upper, you're going to want to use 1/2 size larger than the sole you're putting it on...

I did not. I raced the 8K. She did the 15k as a workout, then did another 8 mile tempo right after she finished.

This is from the Shamrock 8k in Portland yesterday. I was next to the BTC crew at the start and of course noticed the 5% (or VF Next). They look much better in person than all the spy shots that have been posted. The upper looked very form fitting and not sloppy like some of the pics I have seen.

I'm not sure speed really matters. I think if you pronate a bit, Gen 2 is better and more stable, but if you supinate or totally neutral, Gen 1 is fine. I pronate way too much to run much past 50 miles in the Gen 1 before they break down, so that's why I'm a bigger fan of Gen 2.

Regarding "lockdown", it's not just the lacing and securing the upper to your foot. Gen 2 has much better overlay support in the heel, which is what most are referring to as lock down. Your foot is much more secure in the shoe and the upper itself is providing more support. The midsole is the...
