Tbf the price of almost everything has gone up significantly since 2013.
That said, also to tbf, these should have been on par materials quality wise as 2013s, which they don't seem to be.
Royals have a thicker leather that breaks in very nicely and maintains its form. Have been wearing mine a ton over the past year and change, really excellent release and wish I had doubled up when resale prices bottomed out (since Nike/JB stupidly never released them here in the US).
I've also gone through phases where I will initially wear a pair a ton and then not touch it for years until I'm basically forced to sell or donate it lol
85 Royal lows had great leather. Legitimately one of the best retros, quality wise in the past few years.
Shame they seemingly dumped the 85 mold and are releasing Royals as OG Highs for whatever reason.
Do ya'll only consume drinks from cans/bottles? If a restaurant serves it in a glass but you don't see them pour it, does it not hit the same because you don't see the label?
Tbf Travis is definitely less relevant than he was pre-2022. He definitely has a massive dedicated fanbase but he definitely isn't where he was during peak Astroworld era.
Yeah Nike is also a relatively older company in the space to add to that. Not that being a growing younger company means you also make the best strategic decisions (see the past decade at UA lol) but there definitely is some give/take when adapting to new eras/markets.
